We are seeking an accomplished Talent Acquisition Team Lead to join our in-house Talent Acquisition team supporting pharmaceutical operations in Ireland. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, Ireland, you will lead an assigned team of Talent Acquisition professionals and translate the Ireland TA strategy into consistent, high-quality execution across designated sites and business areas. This role combines people leadership, strategic workforce partnership, and hands-on recruitment delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop an assigned team of Talent Acquisition professionals, setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback and building capability for future growth.
- Translate the Ireland Talent Acquisition strategy into practical priorities, operating plans and measurable outcomes for assigned sites and business areas.
- Allocate workloads and monitor delivery against hiring plans, service levels and business-critical priorities, intervening early when capacity or execution risks arise.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for selected senior, specialist or business-critical roles while maintaining a consistently high standard of accuracy and follow-through.
- Build trusted relationships with site leaders, functional executives, Business HR, Total Rewards and other Centres of Excellence through clear, concise and commercially informed advice.
- Use workforce data, recruiting metrics and external market intelligence to identify talent risks, forecast demand and recommend practical sourcing and hiring solutions.
- Ensure a high-quality, inclusive and compliant candidate and hiring-manager experience across every stage of the recruitment process.
- Maintain rigorous attention to detail in requisition governance, approvals, offers, applicant tracking, documentation, reporting and audit readiness.
- Support workforce planning, headcount, and budget discussions.
- Partner with the Early Careers Specialist to support the delivery of the early-talent strategy.
- Drive continuous improvement by standardising processes, sharing best practice and using technology and insights to improve quality, speed and efficiency.
- Act as delegate for the Talent Acquisition Manager when required, ensuring continuity of leadership, timely decisions and appropriate escalation.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Extensive, progressive recruitment experience in a fast-paced, complex organisation, ideally within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, life sciences or another highly regulated industry.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, performance enablement, workload management and capability development.
- Proven success managing end-to-end recruitment for professional, technical, scientific and leadership roles.
- Exceptional attention to detail, sound judgement, and the potential to grow into broader leadership responsibilities.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders and a broader HR organisation to support business and workforce priorities.
- Working knowledge of relevant employment practices, recruitment governance, data privacy and compliance requirements.
- Experience using applicant-tracking systems, recruiting analytics and market insights to guide decisions and improve outcomes.
- Track record of proactive sourcing and building diverse, sustainable pipelines for difficult-to-fill roles.
Travel: Regular travel is required to build effective, meaningful partnerships across sites in Dublin, Sligo, Westport, and Cork.
