The purpose of this role is to support the planning and procurement of direct materials for AbbVie Singapore, ensuring timely material availability for production and technology transfer activities while maintaining appropriate inventory levels on site, in close collaboration with senior planners and cross‑functional stakeholders.
Major Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate material planning and supplier master data in the ERP system (e.g., Item Master, Vendor Master, planning records, BOM, MRP, purchase orders) in line with established procedures.
- Review MRP outputs under guidance, create purchase requisitions, and follow up on purchase order deliveries to support adherence to the production schedule.
- Monitor raw material lead times, safety stock settings and inventory levels, and highlight variances or risks (e.g., potential shortages or excess) to the senior planner for action.
- Support day‑to‑day import/export and order fulfillment activities by preparing documentation, coordinating with logistics and brokers, and helping to resolve routine issues that may impact on‑time delivery.
- Assist in basic trade compliance activities, such as preparing data for tariff classification, country-of-origin and valuation reviews, and supporting implementation of trade compliance procedures and SOPs.
- Contribute to supply chain and trade-related initiatives by providing data, updating trackers and reports (e.g., trade metrics, supplier performance), and supporting internal/external audits as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Approximately 3–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain / materials management
- Exposure to SAP or other MRP/ERP systems for material planning, purchasing, or inventory management
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to work with large data sets (e.g., MRP outputs, inventory reports) and draw basic conclusions
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and external partners while supporting delivery of targets and KPIs
- Demonstrated ability to multi‑task and manage day‑to‑day priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- High level of attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and adherence to procedures and work instructions
- Results‑oriented mindset with willingness to learn, take ownership of tasks, and continuously improve processes
- Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing, and familiarity with GMP concepts, is an advantage

Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
