The Strategic Insights Manager is pivotal in defining business priorities, exploring possibilities, and addressing challenges through data insights, ensuring the current and future success of the business. The primary focus is on maintaining master data integrity and managing systems to collect, analyse, report, and predict business trends. This role requires strong analytical, planning and problem resolution skills with a key focus on distilling complex data into actionable insights and outcomes for the business.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Provide analytical support utilising various data sources (e.g., SAP, Valign, Veeva, Connect, Salesforce, ABS).
- Develop and manage dashboards and reports to meet business needs.
- Lead the maintenance of reporting systems (Connect, Metaconnect) for weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports.
- Automate reporting processes using Power BI.
- Identify new and emerging trends in data management, AI, and visualisations to apply innovative data management and visualisation capabilities to the business.
- Incorporate machine learning and automation into current reporting processes.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Power BI visualisations.
- Manage the external customer reporting process, ensuring daily reports are securely saved on Abbvie SharePoint via automated processes.
- Lead Metaconnect source data cleansing initiatives in collaboration with the local SAP master data team.
- Execute segmentation, targeting and territory realignment initiatives alongside the Head of Business Excellence
- Lead the quarterly target clinics identification process with Head of Business Excellence
- Facilitate the quarterly clinic-level forecasting process, rolling up data to larger chains and regions.
- Analyse the effectiveness of promotional programs and pricing adjustments.
- Evaluate compliance with corporate agreements and contracts.
- Collaborate with the Head of Business Excellence to set reasonable sales targets.
- Calculate achievements against targets for the Facial Aesthetics Business, Coolsculpting, and KAM teams on a quarterly, half-yearly, and annual basis.
- Prioritise tasks and projects to deliver quality solutions to high-priority business issues.
- Ensure all business activities comply with relevant legal requirements and ethical standards.
- Create informative, concise, and commercially focused business review presentations relevant to key business issues.
- Participate in key projects and initiatives as required.
- Take ownership of key components for commercial analytics as required by the Business Excellence Lead
- Report any adverse event within 24 hours as per Allergan’s policies and procedures.
- Proactively participate in AbbVie’s WHS programs, adhere to policies and always promote a safe work environment.
- Adhere to Allergan’s / AbbVie’s internal codes of conduct and compliance processes.
- Other ad hoc duties such as administrative duties, as requested.
- Tertiary qualifications in a business / finance related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of functional experience in either a commercially focused role or in a finance support capacity, preferably healthcare experience, and demonstrated experience in the following key areas:
- System Analyst
- Data Management
- Business Analysis and Reporting
- Project management
- Data Science
- Experience developing and working with self-service analytic software such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Strong analytical, planning and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to translate customer requirements into specifications and convert data and information into intelligence.
- Solid understanding of financial reports / budgets / sales forecasts / customer buying trends/pricing and promotion.
- High level of attention to detail and numeracy accuracy.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft suite, specifically Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
- SAP knowledge is advantageous, particularly Business Objects/Explorer (administration, report writing, universe building and maintenance).
- Strong communication, listening and presentation skills.

Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
