Position: Sr. Business Intelligence Specialist
Reports to: Customer Excellence Director, Korea
Location: Seoul, South Korea
PRIMARY FUNCTION/OBJECTIVE
Result oriented Business Analyst with a solid background in data analysis, including experience extracting
and manipulating data for data analysis, producing digestible business intelligence and actionable
information. Works with key business stakeholders to understand requirements and shape analytical
deliverables.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Followings with direct responsibilities and/or by collaborating SFE/MCM specialists.
- Works on data sets and complex data warehouse environments being able to integrate them effectively.
- Designs, develops, and maintenance of scalable/automated/user-friendly systems to support ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. which drive key business decisions.
- Uses problem solving skills and rapid development approach to deliver actionable output.
- Builds stable, scalable, cost-effective solutions to extract data from diverse systems and transform extremely large datasets into actionable business information, including visualization tools to present the business information in an intuitive way, diagnosing and fixing complex data integrity problems and reducing or eliminating operational overhead.
- Collaborates across the business and finance organizations to develop best practices for the function and advocate for improvements.
- Prepare and implement analytics of ACE model in collaboration with SFE/MCM, in-field commercial and medical functions.
- Enhance WWD capability by integrating external data and in-house data to provide business decision based on customer segmentations.
- Establish daily WWD operation and culture with cost-effective, customer-centric, value propositioning way.
- Lead the direction towards harmonized way of working and operation model across business intelligence and sales force effectiveness.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Over 5 years’ experience as business intelligence specialist with proven leadership, communication skills and collaboration.
- Strong business acumen with an understanding of the marketing, decision support models, operations, leadership, and financial levers that drive profit, loss and customer experience.
- He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to work cross-organizationally.
- Extensive hands-on experience working across multiple disciplines presenting findings to an executive audience.
- English language proficiency verbally and in writing (for all non-English speaking countries)
KEY STAKEHOLDERS
- External: Various agencies, training providers, research agencies, 3rd party companies for data analytics and all stakeholders as defined in the LRP at the affiliate level.
- Internal: Affiliate Management Team, Commercial Marketing & Sales Heads, SFE/MCM manager and specialists, Medical, OEC, Finance, global MABI.

Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
