Job Description

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

The Sr Manager U.S. Distribution Centers Support and Inventory Governance is a key member of the Operations’ Supply Chain Finance team and serves as subject matter expert supporting the US Distribution Centers, as well as to provide financial leadership and expertise around inventory policy and processes governing inventory management.  Additionally, the Sr Manager will work cross-functionally to drive analytics, reporting, and will drive efforts to improve automation, and process sustainability. 

 CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive inventory governance through adherence to policy and standardization of inventory processes.
  • Drive improvements to data integrity, building robust and agile reporting and process simplification.
  • Proactively manage U.S. Distribution center inventory exposure identification processes.
  • Support business partners by providing actionable insight on inventory holdings, risks & opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly financial close and reporting deliverables.
  • Monitor monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for specified general ledger accounts.
  • Support U.S. Distribution Center process for annual product cost development.
  • Maintain effective controls for key finance processes.
  • Serve as key contact for Sarbanes Oxley, Tax and Audit requests, including documentation and testing.
  • Responsible for assisting with identification of areas for cost reductions and operational improvements.
  • Responsible for leading and mentoring 4 employees.
  • Ad Hoc projects as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA or Master’s degree in finance or Accounting highly desirable, CPA or equivalent preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant Finance/Accounting experience, preferably across a range of Finance functions.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and inventory accounting policy / procedures.
  • Knowledge of SAP system, particularly in relation to inventory and standard costing modules.
  • Solid understand of SOX / Audit control framework.
  • Strong communication skills, able to synthesize complex concepts into simple terms.
  • Ability to Innovative and maintain a continuous improvement attitude.
  • Individual must be self-motivated and demonstrate a high level of accountability. 
  • Demonstrated problem-solving within a broad framework of financial policies and concepts.
