The Senior BI Analytics Manager will lead and manage a team of BI report developers and analysts working on building scalable data and analytics solutions. This role is key to end-to-end solution delivery, stakeholder management, collaborate with other towers within Allergan Aesthetics technology teams, participate in architecture design discussions, and will guide and mentor report developers. The ideal candidate will have outstanding communication skills, proven data design and implementation capabilities, business acumen, and a highly developed drive to deliver results.
Responsibilities:
- Transform data into actionable insights and recommendations. This includes processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis. Effectively communicate results of complex analytical models and influence action to improve Operations performance.
- Manage front and back-end activities and be a subject matter expert in designing, architecting, and developing custom, low-code and no-code analytics solutions.
- Manage stakeholder expectations by communicating insights and information to a broad range of stakeholders through meaningful oral and written communication.
- Provide management and hands-on, expert-level assistance to developers, designers, front/back-end leads, systems analysts, etc.
- Lead the team (internal and external) in providing detailed development estimates and solution development activities.
- Responsible for SLC, inter IT audit and other AbbVie policies and procedures.
- Establish governance and guidelines including a Community of Excellence (COE) for effective use of analytics solutions, their integration within the ODP platform, and integration with other core AbbVie systems.
- Work with minimal oversight; deliverables and relationships that are monitored through periodic reviews.
- Supervise, motivate, and mentor a team of developers and testers (internal/external) of BI delivery tower.
- Effectively manage budget, responsible for leadership status report, and participate in project intake activities.
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or a discipline closely related to the client area served plus 8 years' experience; Master's Degree plus 7 years' experience; or PhD plus 3 years' experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency across a range of technologies related to the integration, visualization, and analysis of large and complex data sets.
- Deep understanding of web services software architecture and design, including security-based implementations.
- Proven track record in leading medium to large workstreams, involving business and technical teams.
- Experience with managing teams consisting of onshore/offshore/near shore resources, in a multi-vendor environment.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams towards task completion.
- Experience with Service Operations in a multi-sourced and multi-project environment.
- Experience in managing DevOps team using AbbVie approved CI/CD tools.
- Experience in Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Qlik and Spotfire.
- Experience in Snowflake and ability to write/analyze SQL queries.
- Experience with data catalog, ingestion, streaming, pipeline, orchestration tools such as informatica, Autosys and Alation.
- Industry experience in master data, metadata, data architecture, data governance, data quality, and data modeling.
- Experience in data quality tools, including data profiling, cleansing, and identity resolution.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in Dataiku and Tableau
- Experience with Life Sciences Pharmaceutical Commercial and Sales Operations group, including insights into Sales, is desirable.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location,and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
