The Senior Associate, Process Excellence will be responsible for commercial program and service contract management for AbbVie’s oncology portfolio. The successful candidate will closely collaborate with the U.S. Oncology Brand, Legal, Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC), Field Operations, Field Sales, Central Consultancy Group (CCG), Finance, Purchasing, IT, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Vendor Management to execute commercial program and service requests.
The Senior Associate, Process Excellence supports day-to-day business operations and contributes to the efficient execution of operational processes. This role assists with workflow coordination, data tracking, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to help ensure smooth and effective operations.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Support daily operational activities and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Assist with coordination of workflows, processes, and administrative activities
- Track, compile, and maintain operational data, reports, and records
- Identify and escalate issues, gaps, or delays affecting operational performance
- Partner with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to support business needs
- Assist with process improvements to increase efficiency and consistency
- Maintain compliance with company policies, standards, and applicable regulations
- Support meeting preparation, documentation, and follow-up actions
- Help monitor metrics and provide updates to leadership as needed
- Contribute to initiatives that improve productivity, quality, and customer service
Other Responsibilities Include:
- Provide coverage support in the absence of other direct or cross-functional team members
- Assists Oncology Operations team with seasonal initiatives that require additional operational support
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or applicable work experience
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Highly self-motivated, detailed and results-oriented; able to manage own schedule, work independently, track activities and expenditures
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Possesses strong project management, verbal, written and professional skills
- Can effectively work with various departments and communicate clearly
- Comfortable with last-minute requests and changes
- Can thrive in an environment with some ambiguity
- Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities
- Easily able to learn various new programs and processes
Preferred:
- Background with Contracts (Master Service Agreement, Statement of Work, and Work Order)
- Experience with funding requirements for Healthcare Organizations and Healthcare Providers
- Familiarity with Group Purchasing Organizations
- History providing support to suppliers and resolving payment challenges
- Proficiency of AbbVie policies, procedures, culture, and other brand team operations
- Pharmaceutical industry experience
- Knowledge and experience in hematology and solid tumor markets
- Continuous Improvement and/or Change Management skills
- Familiarity with launching technology and tools to improve operational efforts

Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
