Job Description

  • Reporting to MSL Manager
  • Territory - North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland 
  • Travel required for the role at 75%

Are you someone who loves science, thrives on building relationships, and enjoys being out in the field meeting experts? We're looking for an energetic and curious Medical Science Liaison to join our Oncology team at AbbVie.

This is a highly visible role where you'll become a trusted scientific partner to leading healthcare professionals, helping to advance patient care through scientific exchange, research collaboration, and education. If you enjoy discussing cutting-edge science, travelling to meet experts across the UK, and working as part of a collaborative, high-performing team, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

  • Building strong, credible relationships with key scientific and clinical experts.
  • Leading scientific discussions and delivering engaging educational presentations.
  • Supporting clinical research, real-world evidence generation, and publication activities.
  • Gathering insights from the field to help shape AbbVie's medical strategy.
  • Representing AbbVie at scientific meetings, advisory boards, and national congresses.
  • Partnering cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, and Commercial colleagues to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

What we're looking for

  • A strong scientific or Medical background
  • Someone who is naturally curious and enjoys translating complex science into meaningful conversations
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working across functions
  • Comfortable with regular travel and engaging with experts in a variety of settings
  • Passion for science, patients, and making a meaningful impact

This position is field-based therefore you must hold a full UK driving licence.
