Job Description

As the Medical Advisor, you will represent the affiliate’s medical/scientific voice of expertise for assigned product and relevant therapeutic area.  You will provide medical / scientific expert advice / guidance to key customers for assigned products and relevant therapeutic area, including scientific exchange and professional relationship development with key opinion leaders.  Furthermore you will provide medical / scientific input into marketing strategy and key commercial initiatives, as required, and medical / scientific support for medical department activities under the direction of the Medical Manager.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing expert medical/scientific advice for assigned products and related therapeutic areas, contributing to the development and medical and scientific accuracy of core dossiers (i.e. pricing and reimbursement dossiers, MoH submission dossiers, medical information packs, etc)
  • Deliver scientific presentations and medical education programs to healthcare professionals
  • Supporting the planning, management and execution of local clinical studies (e.g. review new clinical study protocols, identifying potential investigators/sites, conducting feasibility surveys) and as well supporting Investigators Initiated Studies
  • Conceptualising, planning and executing medical education activities such as advisory boards, roundtables and scientific activities during congresses
  • Establishing and maintain professional and credible relationships with key opinion leaders and academic centers
  • Delivering training to sales forces and other departments;
  • Reviewing of promotional material
  • Ensure solid experience with cross-functional teams especially in the brand team and matrix organizations
  • Close collaboration with the marketing and sales department in the development and execution of the brand plan.
  • Ensure that all activities and interactions are conducted with due regard to all applicable local, global and national laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, Company policies and accepted standards of best practice
  • Lead and develop the assigned Medical Science Liaison

Qualifications

Qualifications, experience and skills you will bring:

  • University degree (Master and/or PHD preferred) in a scientific discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in a Medical Science Liaison or similar role
  • Experience in multiple therapeutic areas preferred
  • Broad general knowledge on drug development and clinical research will be an advantage
  • Experience working in complex matrix environments is an advantage
  • Leadership capabilities
  • Business fluent in English and either German or French
  • Keen interest in developing and maintaining expert knowledge for assigned therapeutic area/product and in medical research in general
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills
  • High customer orientation
  • Ability to connect Medical topics with Commercial success
