Job Description

Purpose:

The PSS Downstream Operations Manager will work within the Procurement Shared Services team reporting to the Downstream Operations Associate Director.  The Downstream Operations Manager will have a holistic view across two closely aligned teams that work together to support global Procurement.  The role will have between 2-4 direct reports and will be responsible for refining workflows, enhancing support performance metrics, ensuring compliance with policies, and problem-solving.  The role focuses on implementing data-driven strategies to improve efficiency and user experience, while also fostering a collaborative environment that aligns with organizational Procurement goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure seamless day-to-day operations of the Procurement Service Center and PO Processing Teams by supporting ongoing initiatives and streamlining current processes
  • Demonstrate thought leadership by partnering with Compliance and offering recommendations that enhance Procurement processes
  • Develop team capability through coaching, training, and performance feedback
  • Lead cross-functional projects and operational initiatives from planning through implementation while gaining stakeholder support
  • Ensure effective execution and accountability on responsibilities and deliverables
  • Build and maintain standard operating procedures and governance frameworks
  • Identify opportunities for process innovation while driving continuous improvement
  • Monitor KPIs and partner with the Leads, Specialists and BPO team members to improve performance outcomes
  • Ensure adherence to compliance requirements and internal controls
  • Oversee training and change management for a large, upcoming transformation (Genesis)

 


Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of Procurement experience, including over 3 years in a leadership role
  • Expertise in managing a helpdesk operation at a global scale, with focus on procurement services
  • Proven track record in standing up and managing a global procurement service desk
  • Experience working in Source-to-Pay or Procurement systems (i.e., Coupa, SAP, S/4HANA) or workflow management systems (i.e., ServiceNow)
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering transparent, comprehensive reporting ensuring alignment with strategic goals and organizational accountability
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management abilities
  • Impactful executive functioning abilities and autonomous work ethic with the ability to build consensus in decision-making
