Job Mission
This role includes 2 commercial scopes to manage in Private Channel: Marketing and Sales Management (including sales team 50 HC) for the assigned core products franchise. Lead strategic and tactical development for the core products franchise to position AbbVie as a market leader and solution-provider across the comprehension of the experience and insights of patients and stakeholder, across the Brand Team and In Field Team, developing the Patient Journey to focus the Brand Team on the delivery of patient-centric strategies within AbbVie business code of conduct, policies and all applicable laws and regulations. Consistently exemplify the AbbVie Ways of Working and effectively demonstrating the Leadership Attributes.
Major Responsibilities
- Lead Marketing and sales team of private Channel to over achieve the KPIs of annual budget of full eye care portfolio
- Lead multiple core marketing and business processes as Strategic, financial forecasts/plans, and budget plan management.
- Lead effectively as Brand Team Leader the Integrated Brand Team to anticipate trends and develop in-depth customer insight to anticipate stakeholder needs, adapt organization co-creating and delivering integrated brand winning strategies—with a continuous brand plan, winning access, best-in-class execution, and superior label and value propositions—that unlock the unlimited potential of our portfolio; translating strategy to implementation into tactics, communicate clearly and allocate responsibilities to cross functional team members and in-field team
- Responsible for analysis, planning, implementation, control tactical programs working with cross functional partners, and integrated brand team, as well develop omnichannel brand promotional materials and tools
- Develops view on Brand issues and competitive positioning, customer segments and their needs and market development
- Developing and leading the sales team to execute the strategy and planning for field-based team by driving agreed upon short term sales targets and long-term goals
- Deliver sales performance and relevant Brand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to meet or exceed district sales plan, KAM sales plan & Trade Channel team plan within expense budgets.
- Optimize resource utilization by leading, developing and coaching Sales Team performance including setting sales targets and incentive schemes, managing Sales Force Management Systems and KPIs in order to continuously improve district sales performance. Ensure regular updates on Sales Team skills in terms of competency model, brand, medical, technical and special in-field knowledge areas.
- Professionally mange cross functional cooperation, lead, manage and coordinate effective multidisciplinary In Field Teams (including Key Account Management) and ensure strategic and tactical alignment between In Field and Brand Team activities including timely and qualitative market intelligence information flow between In Field, Brand Teams and Sales Function in order to optimize brand strategy and its execution.
- Ensure district priorities, activities and engagement plans are aligned with brand strategy and national strategic priorities in order to optimize strategic momentum and drive brand success.
- Monitor and consolidate the outcomes of regional engagement and account plans in order to feed the brand planning process and to anticipate market needs and/or changes.
Key responsibilities in the Primary care arena:
- Developing and Implementing Trade Marketing Strategies: This includes creating plans to drive sales, increase brand visibility at the point of sale, and develop promotional materials.
- Market and Competitive Analysis: Analyzing market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor strategies to identify opportunities and threats.
- Budget Management: Managing the trade marketing budget and allocating resources effectively.
- Working with Sales Teams: Collaborating with sales teams to ensure alignment on goals, strategies, and execution.
- Developing with Mkt Sales Support Materials: Creating and managing promotional materials, including in-store displays, point-of-sale materials, and sales tools.
- Managing Trade Term Initiatives: Negotiating and managing trade agreements and contracts with key partners.
- Executing Product Launches: Supporting the successful launch of new products in various channels.
- Project Management: Managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitoring and evaluating the performance of trade marketing activities, analyzing data, and providing reports on results.
- Brand Management: Ensuring consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all trade channels.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Advanced degree or previous sales/marketing experience required
- Preferred: Marketing and/or sales track record of success within biotech/pharmaceutical, experience with project management, MBA
- Desirable Knowledge about DTC, Private, Trade & Retail channel managing and massive consume brands
- Solid working knowledge of healthcare environment and evolving landscape
- Solid knowledge of strategic and tactical marketing principles and techniques including digital and finance principles and processes
- Business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to create a culture of winning and full team engagement
- Proven ability to deliver candid, effective feedback and efficiently manage performance
- Ability to translate strategies into actionable and realistic marketing actions
- Ability to lead, motivate and coordinante Cross functional teams
