The Finance Lead drives the financial planning and analysis processes and requirements across businesses supported. Ensures compliance with financial policies, prepares management analysis of actual vs. benchmark results, prepares financial analysis and implements process improvements for direct area of responsibility. Provides accurate and timely financial analysis and planning deliverables to meet AbbVie FP&A requirements.
This FP&A role supports the SKYRIZI & RINVOQ P&L, Balance Sheet, and Headcount for Immunology Gastroenterology, with indications in Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. In addition, this role supports the SG&A strategic spend for the Market Access portfolio in Immunology.
Responsibilities
- Independently carries out monthly close processes including completion of Flash commentary and the Actuals reporting package with key issues highlighted.
- Tracks monthly budget and meets with business partners to review performance against benchmarks, identify discrepancies, and collaboratively develop resolution plans.
- Leads the Quarterly financial Landing ensuring SG&A accuracy and alignment with business expense timing.
- Supports the Plan and LRP with financial models and analyzing trends.
- Loads financial forecasts accurately for LBE, Plan, and LRP.
- Oversees financial review and approval of Purchase Orders, Invoices, and Meeting Cards.
- Provides management clear insights into business/financial performance risks, assesses opportunities, and recommends prioritization decisions.
- Leads VP and direct staff through SG&A deep-dive spend category topics.
- Leads ad-hoc analysis and process improvements to enhance financial reporting and forecasting efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
- CPA or MBA a plus.
- Minimum 6+ years of progressive and related experience.
- Desire to proactively search out and evaluate business problems and opportunities.
- Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proficient Excel skills required.
- Knowledge of SAP, BPC, Microsoft Power Apps preferred.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
