Job Description

The Technology Engineer will serve as a technical leader, owning and scaling platforms that enable process analytics across our global manufacturing sites. This role combines platform ownership with leadership responsibilities, focusing on platform reliability, deployment excellence, and operational efficiency. The Technology Engineer will lead our engineering staff to drive the development, implementation and maintenance of analytics tech stacks and capability offerings.  

Responsibilities:

Platform engineering, operations and leadership 

  • Own the analytics platform runtime, including environment setup, configuration, upgrades, and patching 

  • Design and maintain scalable deployment patterns for analytics solutions 

  • Manage dev/ test/ prod environments and release processes 

  • Ensure platform availability, performance, and reliability 

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor for technical teams, promoting knowledge sharing and engineering excellence 

Deployment, automation and technical guidance 

  • Architect and oversee CI/CD pipelines for analytics solution deployments. 

  • Drive automation of platform provisioning, configuration, and upgrades to enhance efficiency and minimize risk. 

  • Establish, enforce, and improve standardization to reduce manual efforts. 

Monitoring, stability, incident response and continuous improvement 

  • Implement platform level monitoring, logging, and alerting 

  • Lead incident response and root-cause analysis for complex platform issues, ensuring timely resolution and knowledge dissemination 

  • Create and maintain runbooks and operational documentation 

  • Lead cross-functional efforts to devise innovative approaches for complex business or technology challenges at the division or business unit level. 

Collaboration and enablement 

  • Partner with data science and analytics teams to productionalize models 

  • Collaborate with Connected Factory teams to consume approved data inputs 

  • Work with security and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance  


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field and at least 5 years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or systems engineering or a Master's degree with 4 years of experience.
  • Experience with CI/CD, automation, and environment management
  • Strong experience with Python and coding 
  • Strong experience with AWS/ cloud skills 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in complex production environments 
  • Experience supporting analytics or data science platforms 
  • Strong documentation and operational mindset 
  • Proven record of success in fast-paced environments, managing multiple priorities effectively

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at  the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors  including  geographic location, and we may ultimately  pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be  modified in the future. ​

  • This job is eligible to  participate in our short-term incentive programs. ​
