This position is responsible for developing and leading the global brand strategy for Ozurdex, partnering with international markets to drive the launch and optimize on-market performance in alignment with international business needs and Local Business Unit dynamics. The role encompasses a "One AbbVie" mindset to foster cross-functional and cross-market alignment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Provide overarching leadership and direction for marketing vision, strategies, plans, and resource investments for Ozurdex franchise and/or functional unit
- Align and lead the global charge, ensuring strategies reflect a “One AbbVie” mindset
- Set tone and priorities for scale and scope of accountability for Ozurdex brand globally
- Influence and persuade across multiple internal and external stakeholders and partners
- Lead and develop direct, indirect, and cross-business teams, infusing AbbVie Ways of Working and Talent Philosophy
- Use coaching to create high-performing teams, elevating marketing skills and knowledge
- Determine appropriate actions, execution, tracking, and monitoring of Ozurdex marketing plans.
- Maintain market awareness and triangulate market dynamics, constituents’ needs, and business priorities for market-advantaged action
- Formulate, adjust, and execute business plans to achieve objectives and goals, including financial results, constituents and market impact
- Drive growth, market share, and penetration for Ozurdex
- Recommend and take strategic decisions and actions for AbbVie, franchise, and brand at varying lifecycle stages
- Lead cross-functional International Brand Team (INBT) and direct strategic discussions
- Collaborate with Affiliates and US team to align on positioning/co-positioning
- Oversee product lifecycle management for Ozurdex
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of ACE
Key Deliverables:
- Accountable for international strategy deployment (e.g., 1-7-5 framework)
- Lead and align tactical plans for Ozurdex globally
- Maintain cross-functional network to facilitate strategy and promotion
- Champion Ozurdex brand strategy within ACE planning
- Director-level marketing experience
- Expertise in strategic brand planning and franchise management
- Significant leadership experience in sales or marketing, preferably in affiliate or international markets
- Strong understanding of Ophthalmology therapeutic area, specifically retina is preferred

Pay Range: $
141500 - 268500 USD
Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
