Job Description

The Commercial Director, Intercontinental - Hematology is a key member of the Intercontinental Commercial Area Team, reporting to the Intercontinental Commercial Lead.

This role will be responsible for supporting Hematology strategies across Intercontinental Markets including, Regions Latin America and Middle East, Africa and Russia (MEAR) as well as  Large Business Units: Canada, Brazil and Puerto Rico, through partnering with commercial directors assigned to those markets.

The role has the responsibility of being a subject matter expert of Hematology within the Intercontinental Area and will be assigned key responsibilities based on the area priorities to represent the therapeutic area within global teams or broader Area forums and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build a comprehensive understanding of assigned LBUs market dynamics, trends, and insights.
  • Map out all opportunities from business and financial perspective and deliver on cross functional priorities to support business growth across assigned LBUs.
  • Develop clear understanding of Affiliate’s needs and provide support to Affiliate Brand team strategy, operations, and execution/performance. 
  • Partner with NPI/commercial leads to develop an annual business plan consistent with AbbVie goals, and with support functions to effectively coordinate all Plans, Updates, and other financial requirements.
  • Partnering with Pipeline Commercialization Teams to coordinate early assets touchpoints (e.g TP3, TP4)
  • Shaping the Brand/TA P&L ensuring appropriate resource allocation and prioritization
  • Bring the voice / input of Intercon to key Global platforms when applicable.
  • Share & provide context to the global guidance / strategy and co-develop localization for targeted opportunities (incl. Brand Plans, Functional Plans, LRR, Touchpoints).
  • Share best practices and elevate capabilities across assigned regions. Build the organization and inspire people by demonstrating model behavior through the AbbVie ways of working.

 

 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA highly preferred.
  • 5 years Relevant Sales and Marketing experience at director or senior manager level. International / Multicultural experience strongly preferred.
  • Relevant therapeutic area experience is preferred.
  • English language proficiency is required.
  • Strong financial & business acumen.
  • Demonstrated success translating corporate business goals into strategic marketing and business development initiatives significantly impacting the business.
  • Able to influence others and manage matrix interactions effectively.
  • Agent of change and advocate of innovation.
  • Learning Agility. Open to Feedback and Coaching.
