The Clinical Specialist plays a critical role in providing clinical expertise and support to healthcare professionals and patients in the use and understanding of our products. You will be responsible for delivering training in-clinic and at events and workshops, conducting presentations, and ensuring high-quality service in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards across Australia and New Zealand.
You will act as a facilitator, identifying clinical educational needs, and supporting healthcare professionals development, to enhance clinical performance through delivering a bespoke educational journey. The role requires domestic travel approximately 50% of the time, with some international travel to Australia required.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide in-depth clinical support and guidance to healthcare professionals and patients to ensure optimal use of Allergan products.
- Assist in optimising healthcare professionals clinical and communication skills with patients by implementing key learnings into their day-to-day practice with the on-label use of the Allergan Aesthetics (AA) facial aesthetics portfolio.
- Develop and deliver training programs and educational materials for healthcare providers and internal teams, ensuring they are well-informed about the latest advancements and product updates.
- Utilise tools and resources to assist in the transfer of knowledge.
- Consultative patient facilitation, assess educational needs, aiming to fill knowledge and skills gaps.
- Tailoring specific educational needs of healthcare professional, to address knowledge/skills gaps.
- Putting theory learned online and at events, into practice as the clinical level.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and medical teams to incorporate clinical insights and feedback into the strategic planning and development process.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations at conferences, workshops, and symposiums.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with nurse trainers, faculty, key opinion leaders, and healthcare professionals to support brand loyalty and product advocacy.
- Implement strategies and plans to further benefit patient outcomes, patient safety and HCP needs.
- Report any adverse event within 24 hours as per Allergan’s policies and procedures.
- Proactively participate in AbbVie’s WHS programs, adhere to policies and promote a safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to Allergan’s / AbbVie’s internal codes of conduct and compliance processes.
- Other ad hoc duties such as administrative duties, as requested.
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Experience as an injector in the facial aesthetics arena is preferable but not essential.
- Experience within a sales, educational, or clinical specialist role within the pharmaceutical / medical device / aesthetics industry or alternatively, experience working in clinical practice.
- Experience in training/coaching including event management, preparation and delivery of workshops and other training solutions.
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills in both group and one-one settings.
- Valid local driver’s license
- Skills in Microsoft Office
