AbbVie is seeking a Brand Manager within Migraine to join our Scandinavian team in a collaborative and commercially impactful role. In your future position, you work closely with another Brand Manager to drive the brand planning process, support brand team meetings, and translate global strategy into strong local execution. The role sits at the center of a complex, high-performing migraine portfolio across three markets, each with different market access dynamics.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced marketing professional who enjoys working across functions, partnering with global and local stakeholders, and turning insight into action. You will work closely with global, sales, access, medical, and external agencies to shape and deliver marketing strategies, develop materials, and ensure execution is aligned, compliant, and effective.
What you will do
- Translate Global Brand Strategies into local brand strategies that reflect country-specific market conditions, competitive dynamics, and stakeholder needs.
- Co-drive the strategic brand planning process in a timely manner, gathering critical insights from designated markets and cross-functional team members to secure a robust, insight-driven plan.
- Ensure broad input and inclusion of all relevant stakeholder perspectives to build an accurate Patient Journey and propose strategic brand objectives based on Patient Journey findings to adjust local strategies and ensure strong patient centricity.
- Synthesize insights to define target segments and optimize brand positioning.
- Implement MCM (Multi Channel Marketing) and CEF (Customer Experience Flow): effectively manage and execute agreed marketing activities.
- Ensure all functional deliverables are consistent with the brand identity and convey emotionally engaging messages aligned with the Global Brand Story.
- Use an appropriate mix of digital and traditional channels to maximize AbbVie’s customer interaction opportunities.
- Drive monitoring of brand KPIs and track ROI for all marketing activities to achieve or exceed Brand Plan objectives.
- Continuously update team members cross-functionally regarding strategy or marketing initiatives or updates and ensure to share best practices.
- Accountable for promotional materials, ensuring consistently high quality, full compliance with internal and external requirements, and timely, proactive updates.
Additional scope of the role:
- Co-own the brand planning process and brand team meetings together with the other Brand Manager.
- Work closely with global teams to align local execution with global strategy.
- Collaborate across sales, access, medical, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution.
- Work with external agencies to brief, negotiate, and produce marketing material.
- Support the development and production of local marketing assets.
- Help navigate the complexity of three countries with three different market access strategies.
- Contribute to managing the brand as an important part of AbbVie’s larger business unit in Scandinavia.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business-related field, or equivalent.
- Relevant experience with a proven track record of success in marketing within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
- 3+ years of experience in a focused Brand Manager role.
- Ability to set up a local brand strategy and translate strategies into actionable and realistic marketing actions.
- Project management experience with the ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Solid knowledge of strategic and tactical marketing principles and techniques, including digital knowledge.
- Talent for prioritizing tactics that lead toward setting objectives and strategies.
- Strong accountability and leadership qualities, including the ability to prioritize and make clear decisions.
- Experience working with agencies, including briefing, negotiation, and managing external bureaus.
- Fluency in English and at least one local Scandinavian language.
- Experience working in complex, multi-market settings.
Preferred experience
- Marketing track record of success within the life science industry.
- Sales track record of success within biotech/pharmaceutical or another relevant industry.
- Strong informal leadership skills.
- Experience in neurology.

Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
