Reporting to the Director of Precision Medicine & Diagnostics, IMCO, this position supports the development and execution of Precision Medicine strategies and tactics at the International, Areas, and Country-Affiliate level. This role is focused on supporting efforts around increasing education on biomarker and companion diagnostic tests, supporting test availability and test quality, and integration of standardized biomarker testing, to ensure accurate and timely identification of appropriate patients. Collaborates and engages with a matrixed team, which includes (but not limited to): brand marketing, market access, medical affairs, finance, regulatory, legal, supply operations, health economics, clinical development, R&D, public affairs, medical and regulatory review, patient relations, business insights, OEC, and sales training.
Conceptualizes and implements International Precision Medicine Insights and Strategy. Manages Precision Medicine team budget. Leads/develops strategic business plans. Applies market dynamics contributing to the development of the biomarker forecast, annual plan and LRP. Provides input for business development/alliance projects. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leads cross functional teams and global affiliates to generate effective Precision Medicine strategies and plans that deliver business results. Identifies, analyzes, and translates biomarker, brand, customer, patient, and relevant information to frame and solve business problems and build Precision Medicine strategies.
- Mastering technical & market knowledge related to oncology Dx testing (e.g., IHC, FISH, NGS) and how it fits in the treatment paradigm of targeted therapies and/or genomically defined tumors.
- Identify Precision Medicine barriers in current testing landscape; identify and work with relevant stakeholders to remove or minimize diagnostic barriers for patient selection.
- Demonstrate knowledge of key biomarker testing stakeholders (Pathologist, Lab Director, and personnel).
- Effectively directs research team efforts in primary research projects and understands the biomarker testing environment.
- Develops and articulates effective strategies that provide impact, are executable, easily communicated, and clinically/financially supported for Precision Medicine products and pipeline.
- Effectively leads projects to deliver high-quality work products in a timely fashion to meet deadlines and commitments.
- Ensure that regulatory and compliance guidelines are followed.

- Willingness to travel at least 30%
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree; advanced degree in life sciences preferred
- 4+ years diagnostics (IVD or laboratory industry) experience; oncology experience highly preferred
- 4+ years of Pharma experience; oncology experience highly preferred
- Demonstrated clinical and business acumen in oncology and diagnostics
- Experience / comfort discussing scientific content and supporting operational workflows
- Thorough knowledge of diagnostic market: trends, technologies, regulatory environment
- Proven experience with various external customers including prescribers, payors, diagnostic laboratories at the senior leadership & executive levels
- Experience and ability to demonstrate financial planning and analysis skills.
- Experience in product launches on a International level.
