Purpose
The primary objective of this position is to provide financial leadership and business support for AbbVie Site Operations and Employee Health & Safety (EHS). The position is responsible for financial planning and analysis related to Actuals, Plan, LBE & LRP, decision-making support and recommendations to Senior Management taking into consideration appropriate resourcing and investment trade-off decisions.
Responsibilities
Financial Planning – lead the planning processes (Actuals, Plan, LBE, LRP) ensuring accurate and timely integration of business forecasts and requirements
Ensure financial planning deliverables are accurate, clear & concise for Executive level review and approval
Work closely with business partners to develop models that accurately incorporate business dynamics
Be a strategic business partner to the Site Operations and EHS functions, fostering responsible financial decision making while ensuring AbbVie’s facilities and EHS functions are appropriately resourced
Decision support/special projects – provide analysis for ad hoc and/or other business presentations that lend insight into key business drivers
Work with our third-party service providers, identifying opportunities for cost savings and ensuring accuracy in billing
Staff development – lead and develop staff, providing coaching and career development opportunities
Individual expected to successfully perform all responsibilities with a high degree of self-motivation and autonomy
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Preferred: MBA/CPA/CMA
Required: 10 years progressive accounting or finance experience
Required: A proactive individual who will search out and evaluate business opportunities
Required: A demonstrated ability to work autonomously, providing value-added insights to business partners
Required: Demonstrated track record of leading and developing a finance team
Preferred: Experience with Corporate Real Estate transactions, including leases
Preferred: Applied experience with the AbbVie Capital process including fixed asset policies CFM0601-0604
Required: Multi-division experience and knowledge of the financial planning process
Required: Demonstrated problem solving and analysis within a broad framework of AbbVie’s CFM’s and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Required: Excellent verbal, written & presentation skills

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.

Pay Range: $
137500 - 261000 USD
Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
