Purpose

Describe the primary goals, objectives or functions or outputs of this position.

1．Responsible for ensuring that contracts related to clinical trials are appropriately developed to meet AbbVie legal and other relevant requirements. 2．Oversee overall interactions with local vendors as the primary point of contact. 3.   Manage compensation process and coordinate Compensation Judgment Committee.

Responsibilities

List up to 10 main responsibilities for the job. Include information about the accountability and scope.

• Ensure adherence to federal regulations and applicable local regulations, Good Clinical Practices(GCPs), AbbVie Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs), Legal requirement, AbbVie Financial Policy.
• Ensure that contracts with study sites, local vendors, local CROs and other relevant parties are qualified to meet AbbVie requirements.
• Act as a point of contact for local vendors and serve as a hub for overall communication and interactions related to vendor contracts.
• Collaborate with global contract team to ensure consistent contract management in AbbVie.
• Prepare Standard site budget for clinical trials conducted by Japan Development.
• Ensure inspection readiness of compensation-related documents and contracts with vendors in cooperation with relevant functions.
• Effectively interact with other development stakeholders and relevant functional department other than Japan Development.
• Introduce and maintain IT systems for contracts to fulfill the above responsibilities.

For Specialist I:

• Support compensation related tasks.
• Support implementing tactical process improvements for the above activities in cooperation with internal and external business partners.

For Specialist II:

• Manage compensation process and coordinate Compensation Judgment Committee in accordance with the Japanese compensation guidelines. 
• Implement tactical process improvements for the above activities in cooperation with internal and external business partners.
• Perform the above responsibilities without manager oversight/support.
• Educate other members with a manager.

Qualifications

List required and preferred qualifications (up to 10). Include education, skills and experience.

• Education: Bachelors or equivalent degree, health related (e.g. Medical, Scientific, Nursing, Pharmacy) preferred.
• Knowledgeable about regulations related to clinical trials and contracts.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with clarity, flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate complex issues from multiple perspectives and drive smart decision making.
• Demonstrate/Drive continuous improvement and simplicity in process and enhances agility.
• Demonstrate business ethics and integrity.
• English communication skill to build cooperative relationships with stakeholders in AbbVie Global.
