Job Description

We are now recruiting an experienced Warehouse Operator to join our Diverse Warehouse Department in AbbVie, Westport on a full-time, initial fixed-term contract basis. Your new team is part of the Supply Chain function with responsibility for the following areas: Receiving, Material handling and storage, issuance of materials to Production / Packaging and shipping and associated documentation.

PLEASE NOTE: This role involves shift work. Flexibility working day, evening and night shifts is required.

In this role you will:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist AbbVie in achieving environmental, health, and safety goals by working safely and observing all general plant and department safety policies.
  • Ensure accurate Receipt of Materials in a timely manner
  • Ensures that all materials are accurately located and controlled both physically and on SAP.
  • Issue material to manufacturing and Packaging
  • Shipping of product and non-inventory items in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Complete area verification in accordance with SOPs and cGMPs. (ie returns/staging/fixed bins etc)
  • Perform all assigned duties according to departmental SOP's and cGMP's.
  • Remain current on proper procedures by reviewing current, revised, and new SOP's relating to the job and to the department.
  • Complete and remain current with all required cGMP and safety training.
  • Perform tasks in warehouse that complement the manufacturing and business objectives of the Business units and to provide on-time delivery to customers.
  • Complete all required documentation associated with the supply of materials.

Qualifications

So, what do you need to do this role?

Experience and qualifications:

  • Experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Good Knowledge of SAP and Warehouse processes
  • Good Knowledge of AbbVie Products and processes
  • Forklift experience is preferable
  • Good Organizational skills
  • Ability to make decisions and work on own initiative
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Computer literate
