As a Financial Analyst in the Trade Finance team, you will be responsible for a region of countries for which you will ensure governance on all OTC processes, mitigating risk on 3rd party sales to distributors, revenue recognition and preparing sales and AR analysis. By doing so, you will make a valuable contribution to the “Control Tower” function AbbVie Logistics B.V. (VLOG) has within AbbVie. The Financial Analyst is part of a team of 5 analysts and reports to a Controller.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders internal (affiliates, Customer Logistics Planning, global teams like OTC, RTR and treasury) and external (banks & customers) to support AbbVie’s international sales executed through VLOG legal entity.
- Approve price set-up, review/release credit blocks and set-up of credit limit.
- Risk management: review and present monthly aging reports for your region and follow-up with Affiliates to support cash collection, bad debt reserve calculation.
- Understand and support Affiliates with the use of trade risk mitigations tools, such as letter of credit and bank guarantees.
- Prepare monthly OTC SOX controls and governance over Customer Logistics Planning’s activities
- Understand and provide guidance on financial OTC policies and procedures necessary for maintaining financial control of the business and safeguarding its assets
- Prepare requested documentation for internal and external audits.
- Support commercial affiliates on customer contracts such as distribution agreements.
- Engage with OTC Global Process Leads to address and collaborate on system and process improvements.
- Proactively seek efficiency improvements, participate and lead in projects.
Job Qualifications regarding education and work experience
- Master in business economics (or related) at university level (or Bachelor degree)
- 3-5 years’ experience and good track record in equal and comparable position
- Experience with SAP will be very beneficial
- Understanding of US and local GAAPs, internal controls and financial reporting is beneficial
- Strong analytical skills and deep MS office knowledge within a financial environment required
- Preferably experience with logistical processes and/or international matrix organization
