The Trade & Pricing Specialist reporting to the Head of Trade & Pricing, is a full-time permanent role based in AbbVie’s Markham Head Office.

This position will work closely with the Allergan Aesthetics Commercial Leaders (Sales, Marketing, Trades) locally as well as internationally, defining commercial strategies which cover pricing policies, key customer contracts development, implementation and assessment; NPD launch strategies and price positioning; promotional campaigns design, execution and post-event analytics; competitive defense strategies formulation; KPI selection & performance tracking; and other relevant commercial initiatives to drive net revenue growth.

The ideal candidate will lead day-to-day engagements with cross-functional partners driving mutual agreements, project-lead key Trade & Pricing initiatives, and conduct in-depth financial analyses and scenario modelling.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead key price & promotion projects, from idealization to financial modelling, cross-functional alignment, key campaigns calendarization, internal/external presentation, KPI design and tracking, post-event analyses
  • Support key customer contract design with data analytics, on-going performance tracking, accounting & financial forecasting, as well as contract-drafting
  • Design & maintain PBI dashboards for internal stakeholders
  • Evaluate new product launch opportunities, formulate key go-to-market strategies pertaining to regular/promoted pricing, customer segmentation/targeting; define & evaluate success
  • Ensure adherence to commercial policies, support continuous improvement, regular assessments and relevant external communication
  • Obtain and document internal approvals for Trade & Pricing commercial activities, adhering to all internal policies, local laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and accuracy for audit inquiries
  • Coordinate with Legal & Regulatory to evolve HCP Scope of Practices, submit proposals on whitespace opportunities, based on relevant college, provincial and federal regulations
  • Conduct internal presentation, training for Sales organization, to share best practices, educate cross-functional partners on NRM concepts and Trade & Pricing processes
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Customer Services, Customer Master, Material Master, Business Excellence, BTS) to operationalize key initiatives, striving for flawless system implementation and optimal customer experience

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of revenue management experience in CPG/FMCG, pharma, Finance
  • Postgraduate/Graduate Degree in Economics/Commerce/Finance/Marketing/Statistics
  • Experience in:
    • Financial modelling, scenario testing, simplifying complex business situations to make strategic decisions
    • Commercial contracts/policies development and on-going monitoring
    • KPI dashboard design, tracking, reporting
  • Building Strategic Work Relationships: Able to foster cross functional collaboration to drive win-win, demonstrates high interrelation, consultative, social skills, interacts internally and externally, able to lead and influence, has a solutions-oriented team-player mindset
  • Project Management: self-starter who can propose new ideas, organize project in a structured manner, map key project milestones and timing, define roles & responsibilities, and demonstrates a proactive drive to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner
  • Can-Do Positive Attitude: self-aware of impacts on others, present genuine self to form positive/effective work relationships, magnifies diversity of markets, people and perspectives to drive mutually beneficial business outcomes in an open, optimistic and inclusive manner
  • Exceptional attention to details with a sense of urgency and customer centricity
  • Occasional business travel may be required
