Job Description

In the role of Technical Delivery Lead, you will join a diverse, global team that invests in your customized career growth and uses technology and data to positively impact people’s lives.

As a Technical Delivery Lead, you will play a pivotal role in steering our organization's custom software development initiatives towards achieving strategic business goals. You will be at the forefront of managing and improving our Agile and DevOps methodologies, ensuring the optimal functioning of our development pods, and fostering strong business relationships to facilitate successful project implementation and support.             

In this role you’ll be responsible for:  

  • Strategic Alignment and Roadmap Planning: Collaborate with multiple business domains to understand their roadmaps and demands, leveraging these items to assess development demand and build development roadmap/release plan. Actively identify opportunities for the COE to undertake new custom application development or transition existing applications.
  • Technical Expertise and Vendor Management: Become a technical expert in specific custom-built applications, monitoring solution development and testing, working closely with vendor leadership, onshore and offshore resources to ensure delivery success.
  • Pod Management and Agile-DevOps Integration: Lead pod management in both development and support phases, utilizing Agile methodologies and DevOps tools to enhance efficiency and productivity. Managing demand across domains and pods, including involvement in annual planning and monthly reviews.
  • Continuous Improvement in DevOps and Agile Practices : Lead initiatives to continuously enhance the deployment and usage of DevOps tools. Drive improvements in the Agile methodology specific to COE’s implementation.
  • Compliance and Policy Adherence: Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Function autonomously in performing activities, mentoring, and supervising team members where necessary. Ensure effective communication with key stakeholders and be accountable for the team's performance.

Qualifications

Skills and experiences that make you a strong candidate for this role: 

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree with +7 years’ experience; Master's Degree with +6 years’ experience; PhD with +2 years' experience.
  • Demonstrate high proficiency across a wide range of technologies and platforms related to software design and development, programming languages, data integration, data warehousing, data analysis and visualization tools, data storage, network connectivity, and virtualization/cloud environments.
  • Proven design and implementation of creative technology solutions that advanced the business.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • 3+ years’ experience as a delivery lead for custom developed technology.

 

Beneficial:

  • Experience with agile delivery model and tools including Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and understanding SDLC including documentation, testing and project management.
  • Previous experience supporting GxP, regulated solutions.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.​
