 The Supply Chain Planner is a member of the Global Supply Planning team. Each Supply Chain Planner is a critical thinker, contributing business knowledge to the cross functional teams and anticipating future opportunities and risks to ensure success for AbbVie and the customers. The Supply Chain Planner approaches all interactions as opportunities for professional growth. Their responsibilities include scenario planning, risk management, order management, execution of replenishment activities, and developing inventory strategies.

In this position, the Supply Chain Planner will primarily focus on supporting the Allergan Aesthetics brands. These brands operate in a dynamic environment with frequent new product launches and discontinuations, planned promotions across multiple brands, and overlapping manufacturing processes across the CMO network. The Supply Chain Planner in this role will collaborate with stakeholders across supply chain, internal and external manufacturing, procurement, logistics, quality, finance, and commercial to promote robust assurance of supply strategies for AbbVie products.

You will…

  • Create, monitor, and maintain a feasible 24-month end-to-end volume (replenishment/ production) and inventory plan for all assigned product families that conform to business strategies, financial and throughput plans, capacity constraints and the target inventory profiles to support monthly sales and operations planning process and PLAN/LBE process.

  • Leverage the global planning system (JDA) and monitor and maintain planning parameters and data to ensure AbbVie manufacturing sites and affiliates have reliable data to look at and output from the system can be used for third party manufacturers and customers.

  • Monitor inventories on hand at DCs and take proactive action if and where appropriate based on available inventory, lead times and size of orders to minimize risk of disruption to supply.

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, within the organization, AbbVie manufacturing plants, Third party suppliers and cross-functional personnel.

  • Promotes cross-functional accountability by understanding the team dynamics between Brand, Commercial, and Ops team to determine the impact of active business, projects and strategic decisions on volumes and inventory.

  • Own planning inputs to SOP process while contributing to discussions and executing Life Cycle Management initiatives (launches, discontinuations, site transfers, etc.).

  • Daily contact with multiple internal and external supplying plants to coordinate the supply of finished product, bulk, active ingredients, and supporting materials.

  • Proactively seeks out opportunities with commitment to innovation and improvements by critically evaluating current processes and strategically challenging business stakeholders.

  • Participate in cross functional projects as the Subject Matter Expert for supply chain planning. Manage ad hoc, daily, weekly, and monthly planning responsibilities diligently and apply prioritization with management input, as necessary.

Qualifications

What do you need to do this role? You will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Engineering, Science, or Business Management.

  • Minimum of 1+ years of work-related experience, ideally in a regulated fast-paced environment within the Pharmaceutical, CPG, Food & Beverage industry.

  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

  • Ability and desire to create and develop strategic relationships with all stakeholders.

  • Works independently with a sense of urgency to deliver high quality work on a consistent basis in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Proven track record of problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn and effectively utilize advanced planning and ERP systems such as JDA and SAP.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
