Job Description

The role is reporting to Senior Manager SC Business Process and Master Data and will be in charge of the day-to-day activities of all material master data domain globally in Supply Chain.
Provides tactical and operational leadership for the planning and execution process and life cycle management oversight through a team of Life Cycle Coordinators and Master Data Analysts. Responsible that the Master Data setup is as per highest possible quality standards and supported with relevant metric in the operational systems SAP S4 and JDA to support planning and execution. Familiar with most of the master data domain specially on Material Master Data and Data Governance principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day MDM operational activities (specially in Material Master Data)
  • Manage a team of Life Cycle Coordinators & be their key point of contact
  • Coordinate AbbVie Master Data Governance structure with Regional MDM Domain Experts
  • Support in Developing, Define global standard operating procedures for: creation/modification/inactivation or deletion
    Support the Implementation of an effective governance structure & what needs to be centrally/locally managed
    Drive standardization throughout the master data process
  • Lead, manages and develop the skills of the Regional MDM team members
    Define SAP master data requirements associated with new product financial flows across the AbbVie network and act as the MDM approver in the workflow.
  • Support the development and role out of infrastructure , automation and process improvement to support Data Governance and the MDM workflows (Winshuttle, SQL server, PlanView) etc
  • Work with the Business Process Architect to define and write SQL scripts for data pull and data analysis
  • Develop , Review and manage metrics and KPI’s for Master Data, linking these to overall trends.
  • Identifies and manages critical data issues mitigating the business risks
  • Develop. Support tools to control, manage quality of data & monitor department key performance indicators
  • Lead cross-functional team projects to meet department goals as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain / Master Data Management
  • 5 years+ of relevant Mater Data Management (MDM) experience including implementation of MDM application, development, process improvement and root cause analysis
    3 year of Master Data management experience in a global enterprise supply chain environment(s)
  • Able to lead and drive a meeting and manage Regional MDM team
    Strong working knowledge of SAP ECC, and SAP MDG/S4 HANA systems is a plus
    Knowledge or understanding Information Steward or BI reporting is a plus
  • Finance, Supply Chain Master Data Management background
  • Experience in managing small to large team (e.g. 3-10)
    Demonstrated knowledge of Master Data Management, Data Governance, and Data Quality principles, SAP experience is essential
    Change management skills with both large-scale transformation and small-scale continuous improvement projects
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (excel, and PowerPoint mainly)
    Understand the impacts & consequence of master data decisions on business processes
    Understands the business requirement and it’s benefit across the AbbVie organization
    Understands relationships of Master Data across the different domains
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP suite) and databases and reporting/analysis packages
  • Effective & strong communicator and change manager
    Structure and effective time management and organizational skills.
    Project & planning management skills
    Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, Spanish or other language(s) is a plus
  • Able to guide analysis and discussion of issues to resolve conflict
    Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    Ability to prioritize.
    Ability to adapt and thrive with change and complexity
  • Ability to develop a trusted liaison to, and relationships with Director/Senior Manager Global Enterprise Data Management and mid-level management.
    Ability to develop and exercise influencing skills to mid-level management
