Job Description

Develop and execute comprehensive Public Affairs & Communication strategies for key AbbVie brands and therapeutic areas. This position will be key in brand team strategy and provide knowledge development and support for engagement with stakeholders and execution of brand plans.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for managing l projects focusing particularly in cross-TA public affairs & comms strategies and on executing critical tasks associated with reporting, measurement, and review processes.
  • Built together with BT, PA & Comms Therapeutic Area Strategies with AbbVie brands to ensure brand priorities are integrated into AbbVie’s strategies and activities.
  • Execute strategic communications plan, an ongoing proactive media plan with initiatives and programs that contribute to advancing TA strategy and drive clearly defined messages across all external media channels, reaching and engaging key stakeholders.
  • Developing and implementing effective strategies for brand priorities. This includes identifying opportunities for partnerships with stakeholder organizations, identifying trends, threats, and opportunities and developing solutions to address these issues.
  • Deliver media relations and communications practices that advance AbbVie’s ability to build and sustain its brand / TA story.
  • Lead patient advocacy strategy with cross functional team (media, screening campaigns, digital actions, educational events, etc)
  • Manage agency resources and other vendors to ensure successful completion of projects and assignments within allocated budgets

Qualifications

  • Graduate in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related fields.
  • Oral and written Advanced English
  • +3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Those candidates who have knowledge and experience in the pharmaceutical industry will be valued.
