Job Description

Purpose:

  • The Specialist, Commercial Compliance will meaningfully contribute to the US Commercial Compliance team with data analysis, communication and coaching, metrics reporting, and execution of the day-to-day operations for Abbvie Best Specialty (ABS), Samples, and Peer to Peer Monitoring.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and US Commercial policies and procedures.
  • Collect, compile, organize, and analyze data from multiple sources, simultaneously for review by commercial, legal, and OEC management in alignment with Commercial Monitoring Plans.
  • Primary lead on the team to monitor, identify, and report on trends within ABS, Samples, and Peer to Peer monitoring data, including presenting to the Office of Ethics and Compliance, Commercial, and Legal partners including recommendations for action to be taken.
  • Identify legal and compliance issues and develop appropriate communications and/or training that targets a change in behavior across all franchises in US Commercial.
  • Assists in the facilitation of audit support including preparation, support of requests, and follow up remediation.
  • Utilizing insights from business challenges, lead ongoing projects to continually enhance agility for the business while ensuring compliance controls are followed.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Office of Ethics and Compliance, Financial Compliance, and Legal stakeholders to resolve complex compliance issues.
  • Maintain outstanding level of oral and written communication when addressing daily operational compliance inquiries from customer-facing and home office personnel.
  • Develop and maintain USCC procedures and work instructions to drive consistency and accuracy of monitoring programs.
  • Interact directly with customer-facing personnel including leadership to provide guidance and interpretation of compliance requirements and gain insights to assist in driving performance.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS required and 2+ years in the pharmaceutical or related industry preferred
  • Highly analytical with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact directly with customer-facing personnel and provide a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to manage several workflows simultaneously and align actions with SMEs as necessary
  • Intense curiosity and persistence to understand both big picture and accurate details as related to compliance.
  • Must have substantial MS office skills including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel (pivot table experience needed for excel), SharePoint.
  • Motivated self-starter with proven success in an interactive and remote team environment requiring a low level of supervision.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
