Job Description

The Master Data Governance Solution Architect role will be responsible for architecture and solution implementation across key master data domains. Responsible for providing strategic leadership and technical expertise in designing and architecting Master Data Governance solutions that meet the complex business needs of the organization. This role will drive standardization, reusability, ensure compliance, and provide insight for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture and design of Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions, including defining system landscapes, data models, governance workflows, and integration points with other SAP  modules and non-sap systems.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their master data requirements, pain points, objectives, and translate them into scalable and sustainable MDG architectures and designs.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs, ensure accurate planning and analysis by integrating business knowledge with technical solutions.
  • Responsible for defining Business Requirements, leading the Business Blueprint & Design process, configuration, assistance with testing, requirements gathering and ultimately setup a fully functional development, test, and production environments
  •  Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in master data management, metadata management, data quality, active governance, passive governance and data catalog operations.
  • Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions.
  • Lead user acceptance test planning, execution, and completion of the project on time.
  •  Identifies and quantifies risk, makes recommendations for risk mitigation and contingency plans. Escalate anticipated risk to management promptly and properly.
  •  Provide expert guidance on master data governance strategies, data governance frameworks, and data management principles, help establish effective governance structures and policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and system administrators, to ensure the successful implementation and integration master data solutions.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to resolve queries, provide training requirements, and recommend changes and enhancements to the system

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years’ experience or Master’s Degree with 7 years’ experience
  • 7 years of progressive professional experience with data management leveraging SAP MDG, Syniti Knowledge Platform (SKP) or Data Stewardship Platform (DSP)
  • Deep understanding of SAP Master Data business processes and critical data elements (e.g., tables, fields, structure)
  • Basic understanding of programming languages (e.g., SQL, Syntax)
  • Full lifecycle (blueprint to support) experience for large scale acquisition or implementation in an SAP environment
  • Solid knowledge and experience with SAP material, customer, financial, and vendor domains
  • Advanced ability to plan and lead workshops to elicit requirements analysis across global, cross-functional technical and non-technical teams
