- Reporting to UK Talent Acquisition Manager
- Based 3 core days in Maidenhead office (Tues, Wed & Thurs)
We're looking for an experienced recruiter who is naturally curious and commercially minded. This is a role for someone who enjoys getting under the skin of a business, partnering with stakeholders at all levels and spotting opportunities that others might miss. Someone who doesn't wait for requisitions to land, but is already mapping markets, engaging talent and thinking about what's next.
What you'll be doing
- Build trusted partnerships with hiring managers and business leaders, providing expert advice and challenge throughout the hiring process
- Develop proactive talent attraction and sourcing strategies aligned to current and future business priorities
- Use market intelligence, competitor insight and talent mapping to influence hiring decisions and workforce planning
- Identify, engage and nurture diverse talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles
- Act as a talent market expert, sharing insights on hiring trends, availability of skills and competitor activity
- Drive an exceptional candidate experience, ensuring every interaction reflects AbbVie's values and employer brand
- Influence stakeholders to make timely, data-driven hiring decisions that balance speed, quality and diversity
- Lead complex and niche recruitment projects, managing multiple priorities whilst delivering against ambitious hiring goals
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve recruitment processes, challenge traditional approaches and introduce innovative solutions
- Partner closely with HR and business leaders to support organisational growth, capability building and long-term talent planning
- Champion inclusive hiring practices and ensure recruitment activities support AbbVie's commitment to diversity and belonging
- Use data and recruitment analytics to identify trends, measure success and make recommendations for continuous improvement
This is a role for a recruiter who enjoys understanding our business, influencing stakeholders and solving difficult hiring challenges, not simply managing requisitions. We are looking for curiosity, the ability to influence, commercial awareness and talent intelligence.
You'll likely be successful in this role if you:
- Have significant end-to-end recruitment experience within a fast-paced environment
- Are highly proactive and take ownership of delivering results
- Bring credibility and confidence when partnering with hiring managers and business leaders
- Enjoy using market intelligence, data and insights to influence decisions
- Are naturally inquisitive and take the time to understand the challenges behind the hiring brief
- Extensive experience sourcing and talent mapping just as much as managing active recruitment
- Have experience recruiting within pharmaceuticals, healthcare or another specialist industry
