Job Description

Purpose

Design, deliver and implement technical training programs required for employee’s learning and development. Ensure consistent compliance with external and internal AbbVie policies/procedures impacting training efforts. Assist cross functional teams to assure consistent training practices throughout the operations. Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance training delivery and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
  • Supporting and assisting Management to develop and maintain training programs, schedules and support audit activities.
  • Provide oversight to meet training initiatives, goals and commitments.
  • Analyze site-training needs and develop, implement, or coordinate the necessary training to meet those needs.
  • Develop and maintain core training requirements by process and roles.
  • Create and apply training strategies, tools and techniques to meet operation’s needs.
  • Have the capacity to influence employees both exempts and non-exempts personnel to ensure compliance with training requirements.

Significant work activities:

  • Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hr day) is required
  • Frequent to continuous computer usage (greater or equal to 50% of the workday) is required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Business Administration, or Education is required.
  • Requires at least 6 years of Operations/Quality/Training, combined experience.
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting pharmaceutical products (e.g. CFR, MCA, DEA) is required. 
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards for pharmaceutical operations and application to training.
  • Interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with persons at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Adaptable to changing business priorities.
  • Excellent presentation skills ability required. Proven ability to lead and conduct critical training classes.
  • Essential experience will include knowledge of GMP and training process.
  • Ability to problem solve, initiate and manage projects.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
