Purpose
As part of the global benefits team, this position supports the design, development, communication and administration of benefits programs, including retirement, health & welfare and Vitality/well-being programs. The benefits team as part of the global Total Rewards team seeks to deliver forward-thinking benefits globally that supports AbbVie's Talent Philosophy and Total Rewards Guiding Principles to attract and retain top talent, supports the diverse needs of employees through their life and career stages, and responds to the rapidly changing business and economic environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for benefit recommendations using competitive data, industry trends, costs, and employee experience for AbbVie employees and retirees.
- Provide data analytics support for benefit recommendations, optimize vendor management and support communication of the value of benefit programs (telling the story).
- Responsible for health and welfare data analytics including becoming a “super” user of external data warehouse and health plan reporting systems, developing reports, interpreting statistical and financial results and preparing executive summaries to aid in the development of new and existing benefit programs.
- Complete financial assessment of health and welfare programs and assist with the development of health plan premiums and contributions.
- Provide customized research on global benefits topics and support surveys and benchmarking as required.
- Assess the performance of benefit vendors through financial, utilization, participation, and quality data analysis. Keep management informed of vendor performance issues or potential employee impacts.
- Manage benefit programs and represent AbbVie as primary contact with benefit vendors and other outside entities, primarily smaller vendors.
- Support development of employee presentations, coordinate logistics and deliver as needed
- Leverage artificial intelligence tools and technologies to enhance efficiency, decision-making, and innovation within assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preference in analytic field
- Position requires 5+ years of related experience
- Experience manipulating large volumes of data; data warehouse experience preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to use data to tell a story. Proficient with or aptitude to learn a range of analytical tools and languages.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Able to work in a team oriented environment
- Disposition to work in a highly diverse environment with potential for cross-cultural and communication barriers.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
