The AbbVie Talent Acquisition team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Recruiter to join our Strategic Recruitment team. This role offers an opportunity to work across various functions and domains, enabling the individual to gain extensive knowledge and experience in different areas across the AbbVie enterprise.
The Strategic Recruitment team provides hiring support across business functions at all levels and is deployed to business-critical projects to showcase an advanced level of recruiting skill and capabilities to assist the business in hiring top talent for rapid growth or expansions.
The Senior Recruiter plays a vital role in identifying top talent to fulfill hiring needs of the organization. This involves understanding the requirements of each open position, creating robust recruitment strategies, determining the necessary qualifications and skills for success in those roles, and assessing candidates based on the organization’s culture and values to ensure a good fit and uphold a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and Implements Recruitment Strategies: Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies & tactics to attract candidates possessing the required skills and qualifications for the role. This includes leveraging various recruitment channels like social media platforms, professional networks, job boards, employee referrals, and cultivating a diverse talent pool throughout the recruitment process.
- Quickly Builds Relationships with Hiring Managers: Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand their needs, preferences, and expectations for new hires. Develop strong working relationships to facilitate smooth communication and efficient hiring processes.
- Sources, Screens, and Interviews Candidates: Source and engage with external talent, review resumes and conduct initial screenings to assess candidates for open positions. Collaborate with hiring managers and work with coordinators on staff to schedule interviews.
- Offer: Prepare and approve offer packages, providing equity and market data for competitive offers. Extends offer and negotiates with final candidate.
- Manage Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process by providing clear communication, timely feedback, and professionalism. Maintain a strong employer brand through regular engagement with candidates, and able to deliver offers or candidate declines in a professional manner.
- Stay Current on Industry Trends: Continuously research and stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in recruitment to drive innovation and improve recruitment strategies.
- Measure and Report on Recruitment Metrics: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and present insights to senior leadership wherever needed.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance to state/federal employment laws and AbbVie policies and practices for applicant tracking compliance and reporting metrics
- Bachelor’s Degree required: Preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years: Experience in recruitment, ideally within a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Experience to support across multiple functions / skills is highly desirable. Strong preference for experience in recruiting within a pharmaceutical company.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with candidates, hiring managers, and senior leadership.
- Proficiency in Recruitment Tools: Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), social media platforms, and other recruitment tools and technologies.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize recruitment strategies and processes.
- Project Management Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, organizational needs, and evolving recruitment best practices.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
