We have an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager, Health Education Operations and Strategic Initiatives, within our AbbVie Institute of Health Education team In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational activities related to the field team activities. The role involves managing and coordinating the execution of strategies and trainings, and optimizing processes to improve efficiency. The incumbent will report to the AbbVie Institute of Health Education Head.

Main key responsibilities:

  • Oversees health education process implementation, operations and improvement initiatives.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and ensure continuous improvement of processes and approaches.
  • Develops tools, guidelines, checklists, timelines, and best practice documentation, to provide alignment and synergy within teams.
  • Develops and maintains training documents on internal processes to ensure compliance as well as efficiency throughout the department.
  • Identify training opportunities on new processes as required and oversees the planning and/or execute trainings on health education processes.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, develop actionable plans, and oversee their implementation to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Oversees health education evaluation platforms and contributes to their development.
  • Lead health education strategic initiatives from inception to successful execution, ensuring alignment with cross-functional stakeholders and health care professionals.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to prioritize and execute high-impact initiatives.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and communicate updates to key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Establish and/or monitor KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of operational and strategic initiatives, reporting outcomes to executive stakeholders.
  • Develop and/or oversees departmental communications.
  • Participate in internal processes improvement taskforces as required.
  • Monitor and track departmental budget in collaboration with leadership.

Qualifications

Education/ Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (health-related field preferred).
  • Progressive experience in project management, operations, or strategic initiatives, ideally within healthcare or a related industry.
  • Project Management education or certification an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of project management tools for efficient workflow management and reporting.

  • Ability to think and plan strategically (work plans, activities, timetables, targeting) and operating with execution excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders and business partners, actively listening to internal stakeholders to understand their needs.

  • Possess a collaborative and team player mindset.
  • Capacity to handle several projects at a time and ability to adjust shifting priorities and an ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Capacity to work under pressure quickly and autonomously.
  • Able to work independently but seek input at appropriate moments. Constantly seeking out new ways to bring different ideas and approaches to improve processes.
  • High level of adaptability and resilience when facing ambiguity or changing organizational priorities.
  • Strong project management skills and results driven and ability to push through barriers and challenges to achieve desirable outcomes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to assess complex situations and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey project goals, updates, and outcomes to diverse audiences.
