Job Description

Primary Objective
•    To ensure consistent sales growth and achievement of sales goals and targets in assigned territories / key accounts by identifying business opportunities, expanding customer base and project implementation while maintaining existing business. 
•    To develop and establish a strategic partnership with key stakeholders so as to further expand and penetrate the range of products into the assigned key accounts with agreed sales strategies and tactics. 

Major Responsibilities
•    Possess good knowledge of the industry, products, business environment and best practices and represent AbbVie in a professional manner that aligns with company image. 
•    Understand and execute hospital account / network management (such as Formulary Listings
•    Purchasing/Dispensing Pharmacists, Head of Departments, Tenders) and territorial account management through sales report analysis and market intelligence such as:
o    Facilitate and identify individuals in the buying decision (Advocates, Endorsers, Gatekeepers).
o    Build and maintain close business relationships with hospital stakeholders and specialists. 
•    Develop a clear, actionable and measurable key accounts sales plans / tactics including monthly / quarterly forecast accuracy and ensure implementation of sales tactics within allocated operational budget. 
o    Grow key accounts compared to previous year with agreed % either in sales units or value. 
o    Grow key accounts faster than the competitors with set objectives based on DDD or IMS data. 
•    Maintain long term customer relationship and thinks ahead of ways to develop superior competitive strategies to support growth and productivity priorities. 
•    Ability to establish assigned programs to ensure the maximum effectiveness of the organization's efforts in achieving strategic goals. Develop solutions to problems within budgetary constraints. 
•    Identify and develop new business opportunities with existing and potential key accounts. 
•    Conduct market intelligence, monitor competitors' strategies, provide analysis and to formulate retaliatory strategy and tactics target 
•    Effectively use tools and resources (SFE/SFA/Veeva) to enhance business reach to key customers to ensure success. 
•    Ensure 100% compliance with relevant Acts, legal demands, ethical standards and Corporate Business and Safety procedures. 
•    Other responsibilities include specific projects (as stated below), pricing discussion, contract 
extensions/amendments, forecasting, periodic business unit review meetings, and other customer service-related issues.
 


Qualifications

•    University degree preferably in Science or Business. 
•    Minimum 3 years of strong sales track record as a senior product specialist in healthcare industry (preferably with experience covering medical centres and restructured hospitals) as well as a proven track record of successful program development and implementation. 
•    Must be proficient in verbal and written communication. 
•    Mature, confident, analytical, result oriented and self motivated. 
•    Must be driven, a team player and possess strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. 
•    Experience in a medical environment, sound judgment, a strong work ethic and the ability to manage and motivate cross functionally is highly desired.
