Purpose:
The Senior Pharmacometrics Analyst plays a crucial role in the research and development of new pharmaceutical products. They are responsible for analyzing and reporting clinical trial data, as well as leading statistical programming activities for clinical studies and projects across several compounds and therapeutic areas. This role involves close collaboration with PK Scientists, Pharmacometricians, and Research Associates to ensure accurate and reliable data analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Leads the pharmacometrics programming activities for multiple projects with high complexity consolidating heterogeneous data sources, such as clinical study databases, external databases, and real-world data.
- Leads the pharmacometrics programming activities for multiple studies.
- Develop SAS programs for creating Pharmacometrics datasets, JSON metadata files, quality checks as well as documentation files for regulatory filings.
- Improve the efficiency and quality of existing workflows, identifying areas for optimization and implementing necessary changes.
- Develop and maintain SAS macros and other internal software packages.
- Conduct exploratory data analyses and create visualizations in consultation with pharmacometricians or clinical pharmacologists.
- Supervise and mentor junior statistical programmers, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
- Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory requirements in pharmacometrics programming and data analysis. Present on this matter in ClinPharm meetings.
*This position is required to sit on-site 3 days / week*
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field with 6+ years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- In depth understanding of SAS programming concepts and techniques related to drug development.
- Fundamental understanding of handling clinical and/or pharmaceutical data, demonstrating expertise in the unique challenges and requirements of working with such data.
- Proven experience in creating informative data visualizations, utilizing tools and techniques to effectively communicate complex data insights.
- Desirable programming skills in R or Python showcasing the ability to leverage these tools for advanced statistical analysis and visualization.
- Ability to communicate clearly both oral and written.
- Ability to accurately estimate effort required for study related programming activities.
