Job Description

The Sr. Manager, Operations Strategic Planner within Medical Program Management (MPM) Operations is an essential partner to the Strategic Planning and Operations (SPO) Directors across all MHI Therapeutic Areas and Medical Operations. This role ensures the efficient execution of medical activities, including facilitating SPO requests, managing regular reporting, maintaining a common calendar, offering robust meeting support, and providing MPM backup as necessary. The ideal candidate is an organized and proactive self-starter with a strong drive for success and continuous improvement. They should possess excellent cross-functional networking abilities within MHI and demonstrate expertise in technology tools such as Smartsheets and Excel.

 

  • Strategic Support: Provide strategic assistance to the Medical Program Management (MPM) team as directed by the Strategic Planning and Operations (SPO) Directors.
    •  Support the planning and execution of strategic initiatives led by the SPO Directors, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
      • Compile, analyze, and interpret data to support strategic decision-making. Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on thorough analysis to drive project execution
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the successful implementation of strategic initiatives. 
  • Meeting Facilitation
    • Organize and facilitate meetings, track agendas, and accurately record meeting minutes.
    • Develop templates and document frameworks for the SPOs.
    • Collaborate with support teams to ensure timely and efficient planning.
    • Represent SPOs in internal meetings, when appropriate.
  • Cross-Functional Coordinator
    • Coordinate and respond to recurring and one-time requests from cross-functional partners on behalf of the SPOs.
  • Project Management: Assist the SPOs in project management, including pace setting and tracking milestones to ensure timely project completion.
  • Reporting Support: Prepare and validate monthly reports for Therapeutic Areas (TAs), ensuring comprehensive data collection and integration into reporting templates.
  • MPM Backup: Provide backup support for MPMs as directed by the SPOs.
  • Congress Planning and Travel Tracking: Act as a liaison in congress planning meetings and help track travel logistics.
  • Calendar Management: Maintain a common calendar, ensuring the SPOs have timely updates and preparations for upcoming events and deadlines.
  • SharePoint Management: Support the maintenance and use of SharePoint for team and project needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical, scientific or business-related field is required. Preference for MBA.
  • Project management certification (e.g. PMP) and/or six sigma certification preferred.
  • Ability to regularly work in ABV1 office ·
  • Minimum of 8+ years of operational and/or project management experience preferably in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Applied knowledge of project management tools and processes (e.g. management of integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, stakeholder management and procurement).
  • Experience with project management, budget management, contracting, and dashboard management preferred.
  • Consistently communicates in an accurate, emotionally intelligent, concise and inclusive manner.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines, and to adapt quickly to change in priorities.
  • Builds strong relationships with peers and cross functionally with partners outside of the team to solve problems and drive results.
  • Confidence working with Microsoft Suite (excel, powerpoint, word, sharepoint) required.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
