The Senior Manager, Speaker Program Operations, will facilitate and lead cross-functional collaboration to support compliant peer-to-peer (P2P) programming. This role is responsible for vendor management, execution of timely and appropriate communications to field and marketing colleagues, and continuous problem-solving and creative thinking. The Senior Manager also serves as the liaison among vendors, marketing, field teams, compliance, and legal partners. This position influences cross-functional teams to design and execute effective P2P programs.
This role is part of the APEX Team, which drives field force effectiveness by optimizing sales force size and structure, ensuring incentive compensation designs support the desired behaviors, and aligning call plans, field tools, and operational support to meet field team needs and drive business performance across markets. This position reports to the Associate Director.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Own and lead cross-functional projects, stakeholder communications, and direct reports with minimal supervision
- Ensure the quality and timeliness of key communications and deliverables
- Own workstreams end to end, serving as the primary point of contact
- Prioritize across competing projects while maintaining consistent communication with stakeholders and demonstrating strong project management skills. Examples include implementing process enhancements for field and marketing teams, revising policies, and leading productive standing meetings with senior stakeholders
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing processes and outputs across all aspects of P2P programming
- Manage vendor partnerships, including timelines, budgets, communications, and project execution
- Serve as a liaison between home office teams, field teams, and vendors to support the design, deployment, training, maintenance, and communication of field-facing solutions
- Provide reporting and analytics on P2P metrics to Director- and Associate Director-level stakeholders
- Use knowledge of data sources, analytical methods, and reporting/crediting business rules to educate stakeholders on the value of analytics in guiding field strategies and tactical priorities
Share best practices across franchises in the execution of key solutions, system enhancements, and changes - Develop and implement change management strategies and plans to maximize adoption of initiatives
- Recommend process improvements to streamline current workflows and reduce cycle time while ensuring consistency
- Proactively engage with business users to provide system enhancement and process recommendations and gather feedback
- Prior experience managing employees; this role will have at least one direct report
Proven vendor management experience - Self-starter with a strong focus on internal and external customers and operational excellence
- Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Preferred knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, compliance regulations, and standards
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with a strong sense of urgency
- Experience delivering analytics to stakeholders in support of change or new process implementation
- Ability to clearly and confidently communicate complex concepts to a broad audience, including senior leadership, sales leadership, and other senior stakeholder
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix environment and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including verticals, COEs, and brand team
- Ability to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and better integrate data to meet business needs
- Demonstrated ability to seek diverse perspectives and foster a collaborative team environment
- BA/BS degree required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, including leadership of a significant cross-functional project, marketing or sales operations, or information technology
- 3+ years of analytical and/or commercial operations experience required, preferably in healthcare
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access

Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
