Purpose:
The Senior Manager, Epidemiology Forecasting, is an integral part of the Epidemiology Forecasting Center of Excellence within the Global Epidemiology function in Pharmacovigilance and Patient Safety (PPS). This role is responsible for designing and executing pharmacoepidemiologic studies, characterizing descriptive epidemiology for diseases and indications, and providing epidemiological insights to commercial and business development assessments. The position also involves performing comprehensive literature reviews to support ongoing epidemiology needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and synthesize epidemiology literature, presenting findings in both written and oral formats.
- Lead or collaborate on the development of new studies, including protocol development and database analysis, utilizing sources such as administrative claims or health records.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional partners to gather necessary information, conduct literature reviews, and prepare comprehensive data summaries.
- Clearly present analysis results and insights to various team members across functions.
- Apply general and advanced epidemiology research techniques to address key questions regarding target populations.
- Utilize public and private epidemiology resources and databases for data analysis.
- Leverage analytical tools for data analysis, modeling, and visualization.
- Required Experience:
- Advanced degree (PhD/MD/PharmD) with experience in epidemiology, outcomes research, or a related field.
- Strong understanding and application of epidemiologic data sources and methods.
- Experience in conducting global and regional disease epidemiology studies for population sizing.
- Required Skills:
- Proven experience in managing studies or projects.
- In-depth knowledge of epidemiology methods and study design.
- Familiarity with large observational public and private databases.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
