BD opportunity assessment
- Support development of business development strategies: Work closely with the Director of Business Development and other key stakeholders to contribute to the development of business development strategies. Provide insights and recommendations based on market research, industry trends, and competitive analysis to shape the overall strategy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of business development strategies with other organizational goals and initiatives.
- Identify new BD opportunities: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential business development opportunities. Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to proactively identify areas of growth and potential partnerships. Utilize market intelligence tools, industry reports, and networking opportunities to gather relevant information. Evaluate market size, competitive landscape, customer needs, and potential synergies to identify attractive opportunities for the company.
- Evaluate and prioritize opportunities: Develop a systematic approach to evaluate and assess the potential of each identified opportunity. This includes conducting financial analysis, assessing risks and rewards, and considering the strategic alignment with the company's goals and capabilities. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to gather input and insights to support decision-making. Prioritize opportunities based on their potential impact, feasibility, and alignment with the company's long-term strategy.
- Prepare recommendations: Prepare comprehensive reports, including financial projections, market analysis, and risk assessments, to senior management and key stakeholders. Clearly articulate the rationale for each recommendation and provide actionable insights to support decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consensus on the proposed opportunities.
- Track and monitor progress: Establish and maintain a system for tracking the progress and outcomes of business development opportunities. Regularly evaluate the performance of implemented strategies and initiatives.
Partnership coordination and Alliance management
- Develop and maintain relationships with key partner stakeholders: Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders of strategic partners. This includes understanding their needs, goals, and expectations, and proactively addressing any concerns or issues. Regularly engage in communication and meetings to foster collaboration and strengthen partnerships.
- Partner discussion coordination and material preparation: Coordinate and facilitate partner discussions and meetings. Schedule and organize meetings, prepare meeting agendas and materials, and ensure all necessary information is available to participants. Collaborate with internal teams to gather relevant data and insights, and create compelling presentations and materials to effectively communicate the value proposition and potential benefits of partnerships.
- Support key BD events, e.g., China VC roadshow and China partnership day: Assist in organizing and managing key business development events, such as China VC roadshow and China partnership day. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth execution of these events. Coordinate logistics, manage event timelines, and support the preparation of presentations and materials. Act as a liaison between the company and event participants to address any inquiries or requests.
- Coordination on partner due diligence: Support the due diligence process for potential partners. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as legal, finance, and operations, to ensure all necessary documentation and information are collected and reviewed. Coordinate information sharing with partners and facilitate the due diligence process to ensure a comprehensive evaluation of potential partnerships. Work closely with the legal team to draft and negotiate partnership agreements and contracts.
- Maintain partnership documentation: Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of partnership agreements, contracts, and related materials. Maintain a central repository of partnership information for easy access by relevant stakeholders. Regularly review and update partnership documentation to reflect any changes or amendments.
- Monitor and manage partner performance: Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of partnerships against agreed-upon goals and metrics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track key performance indicators, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions when necessary. Conduct regular performance reviews with partners to ensure alignment, address challenges, and explore opportunities for growth and collaboration.
Industry experiences: 5 years working experience, preferable with 2+ years of experience with a Strategy Consulting firm
Language Skills: Fulent in English both oral and written
