AbbVie is seeking a hand on and experienced Senior Financial Analyst with expertise in scenario modeling, business case creation and knowledge of patient support programs and pharmaceutical business to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all elements pertaining to co-pay within the financial planning process, including budgeting, accrual preparation and variance explanations. The position will work closely with patient experience, GTN pricing and general accounting teams and will report to the Finance Pricing Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the performance of co-pay assistance programs, conducting variance analysis for month end and planning cycles and reporting on key metrics and trends
- Deliver strategic financial insights and input to the patient experience team, supporting analytics and providing insights as to co-pay usage.
- Collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders ensuring precise financial reporting and forecasting while fostering a cohesive work environment.
- Actively coordinate and participate in the budgeting process and financial planning cycles ensuring GTN (pricing) financial analysts have all inputs required for the planning cycles
- Prepare and record month-end journal entries for copay accruals, ensuring accuracy in financial closing activities, including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Open and monitor co-pay purchase orders and support calculation of PO amounts and adjustments.
- Evaluate and review copay card programs.
- Review and approve invoices ensuring alignment to agreements.
- Support service proposals and vendor agreements while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and objectives.
- Provide comprehensive documentation and assistance in support of internal and external audits.
- Develop and deploy robust financial models and analytical tools to support strategic business decision-making allowing for scenario planning.
- Address and fulfill ad-hoc financial requests as needed to support business objectives.
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., MBA, CPA, CFA) preferred.
- 4+ years of progressive and related experience in financial analysis or accounting.
- Extensive experience in financial analysis, data modeling and data analysis.
- Familiar with revenue planning and forecasting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information to facilitate data-driven decision making.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with business and finance stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of market access and pharmaceutical industry is an asset.

Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
