AbbVie is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst with expertise in SAP / business planning and consolidation (SAP / BPC) and PowerBI to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible to support financial planning, forecasting, and reporting activities. The position reports to the Lead, FP&A.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop complex financial reports using SAP / BPC & Power BI to support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Regularly collaborate with finance and business teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for report development, streamlining and optimization
- Clean, transform, and model data from various sources to ensure high data quality and consistency across all financial reports and dashboards.
- Support loading of consolidated business data into BPC
- Implement data governance standards to safeguard data integrity and compliance.
- Train and support end-users on SAP BPC / PowerBI reporting functionalities and best practices.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of reporting solutions, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends to continuously improve reporting capabilities.
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
- Preferred 4+ years of progressive and related experience in Finance
- Extensive experience in financial analysis and SAP / BPC report development.
- Familiarity with other SAP modules and experience in system integration is a plus.
- Proven experience as a PowerBI developer and proficiency in other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques.
- Experience in data modeling and data analysis.
- Knowledge of SQL and experience with data warehousing solutions is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy that facilitate data-driven decision making.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
