The Senior Financial Analyst is the key financial contact working in partnership with US Distribution/Warehousing operations. Financial responsibilities include month end close/accounting activities (allocations, journal entries, inter-company charges), FP&A financial cycles (LBE / Plan / Update / LRP), and ad-hoc data analysis / reporting. The senior analyst will also provide a headcount plan and monthly analysis for the ~150 employees/contractors within the US business units and help manage the integration of various US-based distribution centers. Responsibilities also include purchase order approvals, depreciation analysis, capital expense tracking, and any other ad-hoc analyses upon request.
Responsibilities
- Develops and improves the current allocation process targeting a zero-based budget and communicate/align changes with the relevant stakeholders.
- Assists in developing business cases for distribution savings initiatives, including calculating the project’s annual savings and required spend, if applicable.
- Coordinates all financial activities related to US warehouse integration.
- Provides management with clear insights into drivers of business and financial performance through variance analysis and updates at monthly flash meetings.
- Provides financial analysis, data and analytics to support the business objectives, and all related projects as required.
- Leads and develops monthly Actuals reporting and annual Plan/ Update and Monthly LBEs as required, using SAP, TM1 and BPC. Incorporates review changes into Plan/Update/LBE/LRP.
- Develop and maintain Actuals/LBE/Plan/Update templates in OPS BA.
- Liaison with Business Unit (BU) Managers to ensure alignment on planning assumptions.
- Present financial update, and budget specifics during monthly meetings with the Director of US Distribution.
- Liaison with third-party Vendors to understand project requirements, simplify processes and provide guidance on AbbVie’s policies.
- Ensures compliance with financial policies.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
- 4+ years of progressive and related experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
- FP&A experience with all financial cycles (Annual Plan, Monthly Forecast, LRP, Update)
- Ability to analyze, consolidate, and communicate financial data in simple terms and tailoring the level of detail based on the audience.
- Innovative with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience with SAP, TM1, BPC, and Power BI.
