Job Description

Purpose:

  • The goal of the position is to assist EHS Manager direct accountability for Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) performance and compliance throughout the Abbvie Operations Singapore (AOS) site.
  • Leading, developing and maintaining EHS standards, policies and systems including ISO14001 and ISO45001 Management systems.
  • Leading in environment sustainability and waste reduction.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Take the leadership in maintaining EHS Management systems
  • Implementing programs to promote Environmental, Health & Safety culture
  • Monitor and ensure the plant unit complies with legal and corporate requirements
  • Conduct regular inspection and audit on various manufacturing processes and unit operations
  • Conduct plant unit emergency response drills and training
  • Conduct health & safety trainings 
  • Conduct and lead accident investigation and reporting
  • Involve in Process Hazard Analysis (HAZOP/What if) and Risk Assessment (RA) and may be appointed as Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) Leader.
  • Implement risk management programs
  • Implement EHS improvement projects
  • Lead EHS related projects simultaneously with minimal direction
  • Advise the site for all related EHS compliance legal requirements.
  • Support the API and Bio Manufacturing plant, Quality and Engineering functions on EHS related matters and any other duties as assigned by the EHS Manager.
  • Assist EHS Manager in develop and maintaining site strategy towards prevention of catastrophic incident.
  • Ensure process safety management system is established according to the applicable legal and other requirements.
  • Assist EHS Manager in maintaining site plan in terms of PSM related risk management program.
  • Review progress of process safety related recommendation action plan tracking

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Chemical or EHS related Engineering
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in related field
  • Must have a positive record of establishing effective relations working with a diverse population at  all levels of the company (i.e. shop floor to global corporate partners)
  • Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer and Fire Safety Manager is preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent team player willing to work for the common goal
