Job Description

Senior Data Delivery Expert (Global Commercial Business Technology Solutions), AbbVie Inc., Mettawa, IL, Hybrid (3 fixed days a week/ 2 days WFH/remote).

Key Responsibilities

Design & develop data, software, & tech solutions to business questions.
Pressure-test requirements for accurate delivery.
Present & lead status to business stakeholders.
Prepare & present data distributions to non-tech audiences.
Compile & deliver accurate solution estimates.
Define scope by understanding business needs with technology capabilities.
Elicit requirements from ambiguous business needs.
Challenge where needed.

Execute the software development lifecycle for new builds/changes

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Must have a Master’s degree in computer science, applied & computational mathematics, data science, management information systems, analytics or related field & 1 year of work experience in a combination of data analyst &/or data engineering roles. Of experience required, must have 1 year of experience in: (i) analyzing & engineering data with Structured Query Language (SQL); (ii) gathering business requirements & preparing & presenting orally & in writing to supervisor, non-technology stakeholders, & peers in a matrixed organization; (iii) analyzing & transforming data with Python; & (iv) storing, processing, & analyzing data on cloud-based solutions.

Alternatively, would accept a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied & computational mathematics, data science, management information systems, analytics or related field & 5 years of work experience in a combination of data analyst &/or data engineering roles. Of experience required, must have: (i) 4 years analyzing & engineering data with Structured Query Language (SQL); (ii) 3 years gathering business requirements & preparing & presenting orally & in writing to supervisor, non-technology stakeholders, & peers in a matrixed organization; (iii) 1 year analyzing & transforming data with Python; & (iv) 1 year storing, processing, & analyzing data on cloud-based solutions.

Experience may be gained concurrently.

Salary Range: $139,818 - $162,000 per year

Where We Work

Role is exclusively performed at a site or office and onsite presence is required. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
