Job Description

AbbVie Information Research is seeking a Senior Data & Analytics Liaison for Dataverse, a large-scale data and analytics platform supporting R&D global therapeutics. This role serves as a strategic connector between the technical data team and both internal stakeholders and business partners. It requires extensive knowledge of data across the value chain to facilitate effective discussions and collaborations, ensuring that data solutions are precisely aligned with business needs and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary bridge between technical data teams, internal stakeholders, and business partners.
  • Drive and facilitate data and analytics discussion between cross-functional teams to understand their data and analytics related needs, translate them into technical requirements, and ensure alignment with business outcome.
  • Help translate technical data findings into business-friendly language for stakeholders
  • Establish and advocate concepts and frameworks related to Data Quality, Platform Governance, Master Data Management, Data Democratization, Data Catalog and Data Lineage
  • Collaborate with Legal, Privacy, Security, and Compliance to establish and ensure compliance with effective data governance frameworks.
  • Provide training stakeholders on data tools and insights and act as a resource to resolve any data-related inquiries or challenges.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and innovations in data analytics to drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

Tools and skills you will use in this role:

  • SQL, PySpark & Python
  • Parquet Iceberg
  • Postgres, Hive, and Impala
  • Data Marketplace Tools
  • Master Data Management Tools
  • Machine Learning Workbench

Experiences that make you a strong fit for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years’ experience, Master’s degree with at least 7 years’ experience OR PhD with at least 3 years' experience in relevant field.
  • Must have experience with pharmaceuticals industry specific datasets – Clinical Trials, Safety, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Health Records, Claims, R&D finance and R&D Quality etc.
  • Must have experience with SQL & Pyspark
  • Must have experience with database design, data modeling, and data architecture
  • Must have experience building or advising on requirements for data and/or analytics solutions
  • Must have experience with concept of Master Data Management & Data Quality.
  • Experience with standards such as CDISC, FHIR and OMAP is preferred
  • Working knowledge of MLOps is preferred
