Job Description

The Senior Analyst, Field Tools and Reporting is a role which will aid in data, analytics and process reporting for the U.S. Specialty organization.  The Senior Analyst, Field Tools and Reporting will work collaboratively with our field and marketing teams, as well as home office employees, along with continuously contributing creative ideas. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining ad hoc reports for the U.S. Specialty sales teams, providing insights and conducting analysis based on data inquiries, and assessing the feasibility of new data requests and existing reports. The ability to analyze and effectively articulate and implement results is essential for this position.

The position is a part of the Field Planning & Analytics Team which drives field force effectiveness by optimizing our sales force size and structure, ensuring our IC designs are driving the right behavior, and ensuring our call plans, field tools and operations provide our field teams with what they need to drive the business in their markets. 

Responsibilities:

  • Familiarize and support data within field tools for all U.S. Specialty brands. Assist the U.S. Specialty Field Tools Associate Director and Field Tool Managers in development of new tools, providing insights and conducting analysis based on data inquiries, the feasibility of new data requests and existing reports.
  • Support maintenance of data segmentation lists that will be implemented into various systems.
  • Execute ad-hoc analysis, reports/dashboards, process flows and code libraries as necessary
  • Create reports, dashboards, visualizations, code libraries, and process flows related to commercial activities to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and support decision-making
  • Effectively prioritize across competing projects, maintaining constant flow of communication with customers.
  • Enhance technical skills and business acumen to increase value to the team and organization.
  • Create documentation to ensure both internal and external teams fully understand FPAT workstreams/processes including technical support material for related business partners.
  • Co-lead cross-functional initiatives with multiple groups to address reporting and business enhancements
  • Synthesize data to generate insights report for peers and manager to present to manager/Associate Director level stakeholders on reporting, analytics and specific project related questions.
  • Advocate for opportunities to enhance/improve existing process/outputs.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related technical field.
  • 2+ years of analytical and/or related sales operations experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with SQL, SAS, Snowflake, and Power BI required. Dataiku experience preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot table, charts, macros, etc.) and all components of MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical reasoning, intellectual curiosity, business acumen, and creativity in problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated database management and project management skills.
  • Ability to clearly and confidently articulate complex and difficult data concepts to a broad client base, including senior leadership, sales leadership, and other high-level contacts
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment in order to meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, in a matrix environment, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders (verticals, COE, brand teams)
  • Ability to make valuable contributions both independently and as a collaborative team member, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Self-motivated and creative thinker.
