Purpose
The Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) Strategic Execution and Initiatives Senior Analyst will be responsible for project management and execution of strategic initiatives advancing the global OEC program, including (1) assessing OEC support needs, and planning and executing risk-directed projects, including project plans, stakeholder engagement, communications/training, risk-focused information sharing, notes, and supporting the draft, coordination, and finalization of critical compliance reporting materials (e.g., Risk Assessment) to support execution of identified projects; (3) capturing OEC accomplishments and socializing for awareness against Strategic Initiatives, Powering What’s Next and other OEC or AbbVie priorities; (4) leading the management of OEC resources (e.g., Prezentium, benchmarking).
Responsibilities
Partners effectively with all levels of OEC to assess and identify support needs, provide support, advocate for escalation, and support continued momentum using available communication channels.
Creates, manages and executes project plans as well as develops related project materials (e.g., presentations, draft deliverables, implementation plans, etc.) necessary to execute on our OEC operational excellence framework and key strategic projects, revising, as appropriate, to meet changing needs.
Supports the global risk assessment process, including collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing, relevant qualitative and quantitative data points from cross functional stakeholders and leadership to inform the global OEC risk landscape; Summarizes and updates the risk assessment results, as necessary.
Collaborates across all OEC teams and other relevant functions (e.g., Internal Audit) to regularly identify and understand on-going, evolving, and emerging OEC-related risks. Supports ongoing training, communication, and engagement with the global OEC team to drive clarity, consistency, and rigor in the assessment process, and to drive engagement and ownership at all levels.
Supports the collection, oversight and integrity of master data/information that enables global risk assessment, including the governance of the OEC Risk Register, user profile, and other relevant data sources.
Identifies, delivers, and presents OEC-related risks and issues to management with proactive recommendations on addressing and mitigating the issues. Plans for and coordinates change management activities needed to embed project outcomes.
Supports innovation and drives efficiencies and consistency in our approach to OEC risk management, analytics and operational excellence.
Supports activities related to the operations and sustainability of the US Risk Governance model and future opportunities for global risk governance harmonization.
Leads the management of OEC resources (e.g., Prezentium, benchmarking), such as budget, PO, users, coordinating responses and reporting final deliverables, coordinating educational materials and project management resources and other tools.
Establishes teams around critical projects, motivates action at all levels, successfully encourages and leads teams to a specified goal, and uses compliance knowledge to translate and document meetings, and support project materials and outcomes.
Participates in and leads cross-functional OEC projects.
Assists with the preparation of department presentations and training materials.
Assists with remediation of compliance audits, works with the Compliance Directors and business partners to ensure timely completion, and functions as a liaison between OEC and Internal Audit.
Possesses solid working knowledge of AbbVie’s business, the current compliance environment, and the broader business impact.
B.A./B.S. degree required. CPA, Master's, JD, or equivalent work experience preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience with, or exposure to, business functions such as compliance, legal, audit, finance, and regulatory affairs.
Builds strong relationships with colleagues, peers and cross functional partners outside of team to enable higher performance.
Leadership, organization, analytical, project management and team-building skills.
Can work independently with a high level of initiative. Learns fast, grasps the essence, and can change course quickly where required.
Highly organized, with excellent oral and written communication skills, technical skills, and Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Attention to proofreading and editing skills, strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
Change agile – ability to be flexible and adjust strategy based on the evolving business.
Inquisitive and open minded – Ability to learn, understand and guide without bias in order to bring the best solution or alternatives that supports an efficient and effective Compliance program.
Enterprise mindset that proactively seeks to ideate and improve upon operational process by leveraging continued advancements in data, analytics, and AI -related tools, and as the business and our OEC teams evolve.
Strong ability to synthesize information and use expertise and judgment to evaluate what needs to be communicated based on objectives and audiences.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this roleat the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on manyfactors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.

Pay Range: $
84500 - 162000 USD
Where We Work
Role is primarily site- or office-based but can occasionally be performed remotely. Employees who are site/office-based and can occasionally perform their role virtually work both in the office and remotely*, following the policies and regulations in place at their location. US Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Three days in the office is the minimum; some individuals or teams may require more in-office days due to meetings, business/project needs or their role.
