Job Description

The Sales Manager is responsible for increasing sales and profitability through effective sales team management. Sales Managers must supervise operations of assigned sales teams, which includes hiring, coaching and development of the employees in order to reach sales targets. Sales Managers must also aid the marketing teams in the development and implementation of strategic plans. Sales manager needs to ensure that sales teams are equipped with the knowledge, skills and support to perform effectively, constantly developing and expanding on coaching abilities. Accomplishment of these goals must comply with all terms and conditions of Corporate Policies and Procedures, while conducting all job related activities with integrity and adherence to the company's high standards of business conduct.

Responsibilities include:

  • Achieve sales targets by motivating the sales team and cooperating with marketing teams
  • Increase sales and profitability through effective sales force training
  • Maintain the required technical expertise including competitive product knowledge and computer capabilities
  • Establish and maintain an effective communications system among all members of the sales team
  • Listen and respond to management directives as well as customer and subordinate needs in a clear, concise and timely manner
  • Work in the field with all direct reports, through coaching and counseling to improve their selling skills, product knowledge and overall effectiveness
  • Competitive environment – gain feedbacks from customers/field, update marketing teams and support action plan to be taken
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
  • Monitor of key performance indicators
  • Ensure appropriate use of CRM system and other sales tools to promote sales effectiveness

Authorities

  • Involvement in recruiting decision
  • Participate in strategy meetings to bring competitive intelligence from the Field and align field activities with strategy

Qualifications

Education and Experience/Knowledge:

  • Undergraduate degree in a science discipline
  • Fluent in Hebrew and English
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales
  • People management experience
  • Familiar with professional and structured sales techniques, ideally gained within a    multinational environment
