Job Description

Purpose 

The Quality Laboratories Program Manager is responsible for driving forward initiatives related to AbbVie global laboratories. This role is responsible for coordination and reporting status on the various charters driven by the global team, including preparation of executive presentations, meeting management and communications. The program manager will also manage the global project budget, including LRP financials.  

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Develop and manage budgets for Lab of the Future initiatives, ensuring financial discipline and accountability across global projects. 

  • Monitor expenditures, forecast costs, and optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. 

  • Assist with defining project scope, objectives, and timelines, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. 

  • Mitigate risks, resolve issues, and drive project milestones to successful completion. 

  • Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations to senior executives and stakeholders, providing updates on project status, achievements, and strategic recommendations. 

  • Synthesize complex information into clear, compelling narratives that drive decision-making and support business objectives. 

  • Facilitate effective communication channels between global teams, ensuring alignment on project priorities, milestones, and deliverables. 

  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and innovation across geographical boundaries. 

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including internal departments, external partners, and vendors. 

  • Solicit feedback, address concerns, and proactively manage expectations to ensure alignment with project objectives. 


Qualifications

Qualifications 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Science, Engineering, Business Administration, etc.); advanced degree preferred. 

  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget planning, forecasting, and cost management. 

  • Excellent project management skills, including proficiency in project management tools and methodologies. 

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences. 

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to synthesize information, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions. 

  • Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industries is a plus.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
